Playing Rules: All PGF tournaments and events will be played using NFHS rules with the following exceptions.

Pitching mounds for 14,16 & 18 Under will be 43 Feet

Both feet must be in contact with pitching rubber prior to forward stride.

Lineup cards will be necessary and turned in to plate umpire with list of subs. We will be playing NFHS rules for lineups and therefore we can utilize the DP/FLEX player rules. Batting limits will be 9 and both offensive & defensive changes will need to be reported to umpire including courtsey runners for the pitcher & catcher.

If ejected a coach, player or parent must sit out next game.

At check-in all coaches must show proof of a PGF background check. Teams will check in at tournament table at bathrooms inbetween fields (all players and coaches will need to be present).

Tie-breaker will begin at the top of the 8th inning for bracket games. Bracket games are no new innining after 1 hour 45 minutes or 7 innings.

Please make sure to not interfere with the field crews when they are fixing or preparing the fields between games. Keep your pitchers & infielders clear of them at all times.

Run-Rule, 10 after 4, 8 after 5, 6 after 6.

Team listed first in pool or top of the bracket to occupy the third base dugout unless a team from the prior game is in that dugout.

Protests to be handled on the field by the UIC of that site, a tournament official and the Umpire who made the call, there will be a $100 protest fee to be returned if the protest is upheld.

Coin toss for home/visitors will be at home plate before the game begins.

Jelwery announcement: Players can wear jewelry however if an umpire deems the jewlry to be something that is dangling or too large they will exercise their descretion to have player remove any or all jewlry before or during play. Some umpires may have different views but the umpire of your game will be the final decision for that game.

No huddling behind pitcher’s mound after an out. Players are still allowed to throw the ball around, but will not be allowed to congregate behind the pitcher’s mound after the out. First offense is a friendly reminder. Second offense is a team warning. Third offense is head coach being restricted to the dugout.
