2	This list is meant to serve as an inspiration tool for AIC teachers to plan and teach their animals how to communicate with recordable sound buttons. It is not comprehensive. Teachers add new and interesting concepts for their learners all the time. The best resource we have is each other. Let us know if there is a word we're missing and we'll add it to the list.

4	List Organization
5	As teachers often group words together by concept or like category, this document is organized by common groups. Each TAB of the spreadsheet represents a different concept. Words may be present on multiple concept tabs and have multiple meanings depending on the learner. Some words are not literal and are meant to represent a more specific word to your learner, for example, SISTER or OTHER ANIMAL could be replaced with a specific name. When choosing words, consider that the same word can have multiple meetings. For example, FOOD could mean kibble, eat, treat, cookie, and hungry. Some teachers opt to use phrases instead of single words. While this list is primarily organized by word, phrases are an option too.
