Creatures Development Standards
2
Welcome! This document is an attempt to provide a standardized method of developing agents to ensure that they work well together and provide the best experience for your Norns.

Why?
6
Norns aren't the brightest bananas in the bunch. They need a consistent environment so they can learn and grow and survive. Sadly, a lot of agents provide confusing feedback to the poor Norn's brains. Some food is safe to eat, other food is toxic! Some toys can be hit, punched, carried around and even nibbled on, while other toys will only let themselves be pushed when it's the 5th monday of Smarch. For a Norn that can't tell the difference between two kinds of toys, this is very confusing!
7
This is where the CDS comes in! This spreadsheet, which will be edited, reviewed and edited again by the smartest developers in the community, will provide all new and old Agenteers with all they need to know to make their agents safe for Norns to use.
8
As icing on the cherry on the cake, this document will also attempt to outline guidelines for custom scripts and variables to be used by all agents that wish to be CDS-certified! This means that plants might be able to use fertilizer provided by another agent, butterflies can pollinated flowers from any other plant and so much more!
