While this guide is spoiler free in terms of the story, character development, and detailed
interactions with NPCs, it does show how to find and navigate almost all of the hidden areas
in the game

Trial and error are part of the experience of Void Stranger, along with the excitement
and satisfaction of discovering this game's many secrets and solutions to difficult puzzles

Out of respect to the developers and the effort they put into this game,
please attempt to solve these puzzles on your own before using any of the solutions posted here

How to Use:
12
Sequences are combinations of button inputs that will safely take you
from the starting point to the exit.

All guides are posted in individual sheets, linked at the bottom of this page

For the sake of legibility, characters in a sequence are seperated by dashes.
Most of these sequences can likely be optimized to require fewer steps
13
14
Sequences use the following characters and tags:
15
LLeft
16
RRight
17
UUp
18
DDown
19
ZUse Void Rod or Void Blade
20
*Open chest or interact with NPC

Continue talking to NPCs until they have nothing new to say

If an NPC is not present, ignore this and continue with the sequence
21
<WAIT>A few secrets in this game are triggered by walking (bumping) into objects
a set number of times and then waiting for a variable amount of seconds

When this is encountered, stop and wait for the secret to occur before continuing
22
<BRANCH>Many rooms in the void have secret exits, or sequences may vary due to the
presence or absence of NPCs or other events

When this is encountered, check the informaion under Info / Branch Condition

Depending on the condition or if you desire to pursue the alternate route,
either ignore this and continue following the main sequence,
or start following the branch sequence from this point

For secret exits or hidden memory crystals, a note will be present for where to
find the hint that tells you this secret
23
24
Each room has three checkboxes that are marked
if they contain special items or objects:
25
LCRoom contains a Locust Idol Chest (extra lives)
26
MCRoom contains a Memory Crystal. These are unobtainable in VOID mode

Hidden memories (from the nonogram/picross puzzles) and those located in
secret rooms, the DIS rooms, and the one in the secret dev room
are shared between normal mode and future playthroughs of hard mode

The Hard "All Memory" sequences will assume no crystals were collected prior

42 memories are exclusive to Normal Mode, 57 exclusive to Hard Mode,
and 29 that can be collected in either mode, making a grand total of 128 crystals
27
WSRoom contains an accessible Warp Statue

Their use is explained in B143
(assuming you do not have the Void Blade by this point)
28
29
Room naming conventions:
30
Rooms that begin with the letter B (from B000 to B255) display as normal in game
All other rooms (listed below) are displayed as B??? in game

Rooms that begin with the letter S indicate secret rooms
The room number indicates what main room leads to it
For instance, S037 can be accessed from B037

All other prefixes used (GOR, LEV, DIS, FOG, and END) are used for entire subsets of
special rooms that are not encountered through the normal route

May 4

Happy Star Wars day, May the 4th be with you.

As of now, this guide is finally complete. Every room has been sequenced and no stone was left unturned. It's been a long 7 months
since I first released this, and (hopefully) all the kinks have been ironed out.

Special Thanks

TieTuesday - For streaming this on Twitch in September of 2023. This was the first time I ever saw Void Stranger. Decided to buy it afterwards, and it was very much worth it.

Dracibatic - For documenting a large majority of the secrets and lore that this game had to offer in the early days, roughly a month before the public version of this guide went live. There were some secrets I was actually unaware of at the time.

Lunar Plexus - Also for documenting most of the secrets in the game on YouTube.
