Sample SamplesonI am an artist and love to make postersI can attend meetings and make phone calls, but can't do much posting/emailing during the work day.The best way for this entire effort to work is if each of us really brings our whole selves to the task. This includes being honest about our strengths and limitations, both personal and circumstantial. The vision for this group is that it employs all (and only) the energy and time that we are able to put forward from within the context of our daily lives; this will be, of course, different for everyone. There is more value in attending one event per month with full presence than in attending four out of a sense of obligation. We will need to be successful and balanced in all areas of our lives if we are to be successful and balanced in this one, so please do know that you are strongly encouraged to really think about what YOU, in particular, can best contribute (and maybe re-think this, every so often, as we go along!).

Marika WhitakerDesign skills, esp handmade signs/fonts/posters; Administrative, secretarial skills: good at taking notes/information and reflecting back in a clear, organized way, Good writer and public speaker but not on the fly- takes me awhile to gather my thoughtsI will (do my best to) attend monthly meetings and will be able to do a bit of showing up at congress/senate offices but availability varies. I can make some calls but don't feel like phone calls are my best mode of communication

Nathan BlakeI'm primarily a writer (graduate degree in creative writing, right now working as a writer/editor for a medical nonprofit). I also spent several years teaching at a university, so I have some education/speaking experience.I'm ready to meet in person as is my partner (another writer), and we are adaptable a wide range of responsibilities. I spend pretty much all day on the web; I can send emails fairly easy, but phone calls are pretty much impossible given my current work environment. I'll give more thoughts on this depending on and reflecting the particular needs of the group.

Morgen GalloI am an at-home mom right now, but was formerly a project manager in education technology. I'm happy to help take notes and follow-up on action items as needed. I can definitely make phone calls during the day. Depending on the day, I can show up to office meetings or protests. I'm definitely interested in more phone and in-person tasks.

Scott Sheehan(Allison pasted from FB - not sure if he's actually interested: "This may be getting a little ahead of ourselves or maybe not something this group wants to consider, but just throwing it out there... What do you think about putting together questionaires for each electoral race (at least in MA#6) and send to each candidate asking them to respond, then consolidating the answers for public review, and perhaps (though maybe too much) making recommendations/endorsements on each one? It's really difficult making educated decisions on many local elections as there is very little information on the candidates. I usually end up just skipping those races when casting my vote. I bet many candidates would actually appreciate the opportunity to get their views out there. Maybe work with our local city democratic committees to come up with something? Thoughts?" (allison asked if this was something he'd be interested in getting involved with)
