Write a book with your program! Create a character and have each mentor/mentee write a chapter about their adventures. Then have a conference call and read the story aloud.

Want to encourage reading and discussion with your mentee but aren't looking to take on a book club? Then why not start a blog club? Find a blog written by someone you're inspired by or about a specific subject you and your mentee are interested in, then read a post together and discuss! (Just make sure you do your research and ensure the content is age-appropriate).
