Preparing to study abroad requires advanced planning and organization. Understanding how scholarships and financial aid can be used to help finance a study abroad experiences is an important step to ensure that you are selecting the best study abroad option for you.
Budgeting is also a critical step in estimating the full cost of your program and any additonal spending you will encounter.

Students that have eligibility for Federal and State money for the term of their program are able to utilize that as a source of funding. For some programs the use of Hamline aid is not allowed. If you have questions on which programs are able to use Hamline aid, please contact the GEC.

We're here to help talking about creative solutions. This could mean finding a more cost effecitve program or looking for additonal funding.

Consider some of the following ways other students have used to help: using birthday or holiday money, frequent flyer miles, Go Fund Me/Fund My Travel campaigns, bake sale, garage sale, or otherpart time job funds.
