| Romans 12:2 | And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. | Transform (G339) -> to change your form. | You need to change/transform your mindset(thoughts/feeling/will) to accept the will of our Father. To accomplish this you must renovate your mind through intense repetition.
| Prove ((G1381(G1384) -> approve/accept the will of our Father
| Mind (G3563) -> thought/feeling/will
| Renewing (G342) -> Renovation -> from (G341) renew -> from (G303) -> repetition, intensity and (G2537) -> new
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Bibllical Process of Transformation For A Disciple of Christ.
| Ephesians 4:22-24 | That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. | Put off(G659) -> to put away, cast off. -> from (G575) -> denotes seperation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal. | Here is another verse about renewing the mind. This verse gives us the technical process of how to do so. You make a decision and stop the old behavior, and clothe yourself in the new man. What asists us in this transition from old man behavior to the new man is the renovating/reforming the mind through intense reptitions of the TRUTH -THE WORD/SCRIPTURE
| Put on (G1746) -> same as endued/being clothed
| Renewed (G365) -> to renovate, that is, reform -> from (G303) -> often means repetition, intensity, reversal. -> and from (G3501) -> new, regenerate, and young
| Spirit (G4151) -> rational soul, spirit, vital principle, mental disposition, life, mind, Christ's spirit.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Colossians 3:9-12 | Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; | Put off (G554) -> to divest wholly oneself, or despoil: - putt off, spoll. -> from (G575) -> denotes seperation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal. -> and from (G1562) -> to cause to sink out of that is to divest:- strip, take off from, unclothe. | The scripture repeats itself on the process of renewal/transformation here just like in Ephesaisn 4:22-24. The goal of the transformation is to be completely like Christ in character and ACTION -> holy (set apart from the world/sin), merciful, kindness, humility, meekness, and longsuffering. These are the acts of Christ. The old man is selfish, self seeking, identify with the world and the lusts of the world. That old man is dead, but you have to make a choice and put if off and put on Christ. The intense, reptition of the word of God is how you transform.
| Put on (G1746) -> same as endued/being clothed
| Renewed (G341) -> to renovate:-renew -> from (G303) -> repetition, intensity -> and from (G2537) -> of uncertain affinity; new
| How often should we be Renewed?
| 2 Corinthians 4:16 | For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. | Renewed (G341) -> to renovate:-renew -> from (G303) -> repetition, intensity -> and from (G2537) -> of uncertain affinity; new | We should renew our inward man daily
| How do we Renew the Mind exactly?
| 1 TImothy 4:11-16 | 11These things command and teach. 12Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. | Meditate(G3191) -> to take care of, that is revolve in the mind: -imagine, (pre-) meditate. | You speak, imagine, utter, declare, pray, speak, talk His Law/Word/Commandments/Promises daily and as often as possible until you are completely mature in Christ to the extent that you do HIS WORD. You want to be a doer of HIS Word and not just a hearer.
| Psalm 1:2 | Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. | Meditate (H1897) -> to murmur; by implication to ponder: - imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter,, roar, X sore, speak, study, talk, utter
| Joshua 1:8-9 | 8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. | Meditate (H1897) -> to murmur; by implication to ponder: - imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter,, roar, X sore, speak, study, talk, utter
| Psalm 119:148 | 148Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word. | Meditate (H7878) -> to ponder, that is, converse (with oneself, and hence aloud) or utter: - commune, complain, declare, meditate, muse, pray, speak, talk.
| Why is this important?
| 2 Cor 10:3-5 | 3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. | Casting Down (G2507) -> demolish, destroy. | The war is against the mind. The thoughts can come from the enemy or can be you having a habit of thinking the wrong things. Either way the solution is the same. You destroy these imaginations with the truth. You continue to do so until it is destroyed. It is will a violent intnesity that you do this, so that it is dead and you are walking in freedom.
| Imaginations -> computation, that is, reasoning, imagination, thought.

| Romans 6:8-14 | 8Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. | Instruments (G3696) - an implement, or utensil, or tool (literally or figuratively, especially offensive for war): - armour, instrument, weapon. | The foundation of being the new man in Christ is the fact that Christ saved you from sin through His blood, death, burial, and ressurection. Since you were buried with Christ in His death, you have been risen with Him in His resurrection, therefore that old sinful you is dead, and this is the reality you must settle in yourself. The truth in every moment is either we are a weapon for sin for the enemy or a weapon of righteouness unto our Father in Christ.
| reckon (G3049) - think, reason
| What does a New Man look like in Action?
| Acts 2:17-18 | And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: | Prophesy (G4396) - to foretell events, divine speak under inspiration, exercise the prophetic office. -> from (G4396) -> a foreteller("prophet"); by analogy an inspired speaker, by extension a poet. | After the disciples recieved the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost, the firt thing recorded was there was tongues like fire on each disciple and they spoke in another language. Then Peter preached the scripture of Joel describing what would happen when the sons and daughters of Israel would recieve the Spirit in the latter days. Prophesying is one of many evidences of the Holy Spirit. Declaring boldly the truth is another one as Peter did before all the Jews that heard them manigfy the LORD in thier own native language which the Holy Spirit supernaturally gave to the disciples. This was one of the signs that Jesus mentioned in Mark 16. The purpose of signs is for unbelievers to experience the goodness of the LORD and bring them to repentance and salvation. Signs are typically not for believers. Please reference the first book of Corithinans for a deeper explanation.
| Dream(G1797) -> to dream
| Vision(G3706) -> the act of gazing, that is, an aspect or (internal) an inspired appearance: - sight, vision.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Mark 16:15-18 | 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. | Signs (G4592) -> an indication, especially ceremonially or supernaturally: -miracle, sign, token, wonder. | Jesus commandment was all disciples to Preach the gospel and destroy the works of the devil: which is to destroy sickness, remove satan out of a situation, and be the vessel of the evidence of the reality of the LORD in Christ.

| Serpents(G3789) -> a snake, figuratively (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially satan: -serpent
| Recover(G2570) -> well (usually morally): - in a good place, honestly, recover, well.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Luke 10:1-12 | After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. 3Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. 4Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 6And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 7And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 8And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 10But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, 11Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 12But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. | Pray (G1189) -> to beg(as binding oneself) that is petition: - bessech, pray to, make request. | We are to pray or make continous petititons to our Father in heaven that there is an expansion of the disciples of Christ in the battlefield/harvest. No matter what we are we heal and declare that the Kingom of Christ has come to them.
| Go your ways(G5217) -> to lead(oneself) under, that is, withdraw or retire (as if sinking out of sight), literally or figuratively: - depart, get hence, go away.

| LOVE IS THE PRINCIPLE OF THE NEW MAN
| John 13:34-35 | 34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. | This is how all the world will know we belong to Christ, but how we treat one another. Without this we stand on nothing.
| LOVE IS EXPRESSED IN ACTION
| Matthew 7:12 | 12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. | This is one simplified way of how we know we are loving others. Put yourself in there shoes. That means you have to actually stop thinking about YOU and THINK ABOUT OTHERS!!!
| YOU HAVE LOVE WHEN YOU RECIEVED THE HOLY SPIRIT
| Romans 5:1-5 | 1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. | IF you have the HOLY SPIRIT then YOU HAVE the LOVE of our FATHER/ABBA. If you have HIS LOVE, YOU CAN LOVE OTHERS AS YOU WOULD DONE UNTO YOU.
| How to Recieve the HOLY SPIRIT
| Acts 2:37-41 | 37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. | After hearing the gospel -> the payment of your sin through death, burial, and ressurection of Jesus Christ. You Repent, be baptized in water, and you will recieve the Holy Spirit.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| John 3:2-5 | 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. | Must be born of water and Spirit to enter the kingdom of Jesus Christ.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Acts 10:44-48 | While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days. | After hearing the gospel, the Holy Spirit came down on all ot them in the household who heard the message, then immediately Peter commanded them to get water baptized.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Acts 19:1-7 | 1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7And all the men were about twelve. | Paul told them the truth, that salvation is in Jesus Christ. When they heard and believed this thier, immediate response was baptism in water and then Paul laid hands on them to recieve the Holy Spirit.
| WATER BAPTISM IS A BURIAL OF THE OLD LIFE
| Romans 6:3-7 | 3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7For he that is dead is freed from sin. | The water baptism is where the old man is buried, when we rise up out of that water, we are risen with Christ in the newness of life. Therefore we are dead to sin and now alive unto Christ. The gospel preached, repentance, water baptism and the Holy Spirit baptism was a packaged promise. The bible does not say either one of these things should be omitted for any reason.
| Colossians 2:12 | 12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Acts 16:30-34 | 30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. 34And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. | Without faith in the gospel, the water does nothing at all. It is faith in the gospel message that is fundamental, however, after hearing this message they knew water baptisim is a response to fact that they already believed. Therefore baptisim of water and the Holy Spirit is part of the promise of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ. The promise of the covenant is the HOLY SPIRIT.
