District and school leadership teams from:
1. New Targeted Sites
2. All schools who would like to update existing action plans

Recommended
Facilitators will work with district and school attendees to use current SAMI and student data to review and update ESSA action plans. Attendance is recommended for schools receiving targeted or comprehensive assistance.

Department of Education staff will train district superintendents, central office personnel, and SBOs on use of the claims process in the Consolidated Application in CASA. This is NEW functionality and ALL DISTRICTS are urged to attend. Department staff will also assist districts with funding flexibility transfers as needed.

Data Review/Early Warning SystemFebruary 1 - April 30Regional Workshops (1 Day)District and school leadership teams.

Recommended.
Participants will complete the required Data Review, including Early Warning System data review, to identify specific system needs. This should be completed prior to the SAMI, and used as part of the Action Planning process.

Focused Universal Tier ToolsNovember 1 - April 30Regional Workshops (1 Day)District and school leadership teams from:
1. Existing Targeted Sites
2. New Targeted Sites
Participants will learn how to use the Universal Tier Tools Steps 1-7, with a particular focus on subgroups (special education, english learners, and advanced learners). Teams will spend time learning the logic and flow of these steps and how to faciltitate the collaborative conversations with all instructional staff back in their schools. Participants will also learn how to use information gathered using the Universal Tier Tools to develop an action plan. Ample time will be provided on-site to engage with the tools and for local teams to make decisions. Content areas include Literacy, Mathematics, and Social-Emotional Well-Being and Behavioral Health. Grade levels include preschool through grade 12.

Intervention System 4.1 (System Steps 1-2 and Learner Steps 1-4)November 1 - December 17Regional Workshops (1 Day)District and school leadership teams.

Recommended for any school beginning work Intervention System work.
Participants will learn how to use the Intervention System tools, Systems Steps 1 and 2, and Learner Steps 1 through 4, including subgroup additions. Teams will spend time learning the logic and flow of the steps and actions buildings engage with do analyze and refine the way in which it designs and delivers intensified interventions. Attendees will be provided with a decision-making framework and tools to help accomplish the work around intervention delivery. Ample time will be provided on-site to engage with the guide and for local teams to make decisions.

Intervention System 4.1 (System Step 3 and Learner Steps 5-7 or Subgroup Focus)February 1 - April 30Regional Workshops (1 Day)District and school leadership teams.

Recommended for any school who wants to go deeper into the tools, or with a particular focus on subgroups.
Participants will learn how to use the Intervention System tools, System Step 3, and Learner Steps 5-7, with a focus on subgroup additions. This session will build on the November-December session with a primary focus on using these resources for students across subgroups.

MTSS Data System (Panorama Student Success) Panorama and TC/SSIT Co-LedOctober 7-11 and October 14-18

Panorama is able to provide two training teams each week, each with 2 Panorama trainers, so we can have no more than 2 AEAs sign up for each day. Morning and afternoon sessions on the same day need to be scheduled in the same AEA. Please avoid Monday mornings and Friday afternoons. We can accomodate 40 attendees per 1 trainer so given that Panorama can provide 2 trainers for each session, we will need TC/SSIT trainers based on the number of participants that can attend.

Recommended.
This training is for newly identified schools to engage in the SAMI Discussion, and complete the SAMI in CASA - this should be completed after the Data Review, and used as part of the Action Planning process. Outcomes include:
(1) Understand SAMI purpose, connections to MTSS, DA and ESSA, and use
(2) Engage in team discussions and consensus on current practices in the following areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Social-emotional-behavioral well-being and mental health [SEBMH]
(3) Access and enter scores into the Consolidated Accountability and Support Application (CASA).
(4) Complete the SAMI
(5) Engage in team action planning based on SAMI results.

SDI FoundationsApril 14Course Number: 273797
This workshop will provide an overview of MTSS along with the Specially Designed Instruction
Framework; including the Guiding Principles and Connections to DA/ESSA/MTSS.
Participants will leave with an understanding of the guiding principles of Specially Designed
Instruction and have a clear understanding of the rationale behind this work. Participants will
better understand the SDI framework including the key components of Diagnose for Instructional
Design, Design for Instructional Delivery, and Deliver for Learner Engagement.
