U of A & SAGE food pick-up & deliveryThroughout EdmontonMedical students from the University of Alberta are assisting seniors and vulnerable populations in the Edmonton community with groceries. Includes grocery-runs, pick-ups for online orders and delivery. This is a volunteer initiative to bridge the gap of accessibility, while promoting health and safety of our community - not charging any service or delivery fee. The drivers are medical school volunteers who have had police and background checks done by the University of Alberta.
Community members may opt for two options:
- Place an online order at a grocery store. Order is retrieved and delivered to their home.
- Customers provide a list of groceries by phone, they are sent the total cost, groceries are delivered to their home.
Delivery is no-contact for community members i.e. we would either take e-transfers prior to delivering or cash in envelopes left outside the door, and deliver at the door without contact.
Call 780-952-7101 to place an order. Any questions, please e-mail baghalffullyeg@gmail.com.
