22 | Ilka-Marie Ruth | Kuleba | Ilka-Marie Ruth Kuleba | 704-249-0421 | 1061 | Stanly | Play It Forward (Sports Equipment Drive/Clinics and Sports Equipment Community Closet) | By creating the closet, there are no longer any excuses for parents to not allow their K-5 kids to play organized sports through Endy Optimist. Endy Optimist cared for the financial aspect and the Play It Forward takes care of getting the equipment out. The other issue that I addressed was I created an end-to-end management program of the closet. This makes it easy for the volunteers to continue to support long term. I have also made it easy for people to donate equipment with drop boxes at churches and on the front porch of Endy Optimist. My goal was to create a program that was not only sustainable for my community but as we share our program with others, the playbook is easy to read and understand. I want people to know these programs are easy to start and sustain. I believe I have gotten the Endy Optimist Club over the hardest aspects of being able to support and grow this program. I have eliminated excuses that the Parents and Guardians say they do not have access to the equipment, and I have allowed Endy Optimist the ability to have a closet where the equipment is organized, clean, and easy to distribute to the community as needed. | ||||||||||||||||||
