Dear Parents and Guardians:

The Independent Elementary School Handbook is available to help you become familiar with AND as an organization tool for school policies that affect you and your child(ren). Please spend some time at home discussing the relevant sections together. If you have any questions or comments about the materials presented in this handbook, please feel free to call me, send an email, or stop by the office at any time. Also, be sure to visit our website https://independent.cv.k12.ca.us/ and read the WAG regularily to keep informed and to be a part of the Independent experience!

I am looking forward to another positive year of achievement, growth, and memories here at Independent. I am proud of our hardworking and dedicated staff who focus on the importance of a well rounded and rigorous curriculum with an emphasis on the whole child and responding to students’ individual needs. We are committed to educational excellence, responsibility, and have a dedication to watch our students SOAR!

Students leave Independent as academically capable and intellectually curious problem-solvers. We want them to look back with a fondness of their time here and with the excitement, ability, and confidence to continue to Soar!
