|Field Utilities for Salesforce Developers|
|Here are four utilities useful for Salesforce administrators and consultants.|
This spreadsheet is read-only; I recommend making an editable copy by
1) signing in as a Google user (click "Sign In" in the upper right-hand corner),
2) clicking on the "File" menu, then
3) clicking "Make a Copy...".
|Convert UI Labels to API Names||This sheet is handy when planning a design; give it a list of UI Field Labels and it'll generate the API-style Field Names.|
|Generate Field XML||This sheet is useful for folks who work with Salesforce metadata (for example, through the Force.com IDE). Give it any info about fields you want to create and it'll crank out the XML for you.|
|Convert 15- to 18-Char IDs||This sheet converts 15-character, case-sensitive Salesforce IDs to 18-character, case-kinda-insensitive Salesforce IDs.|
|Repair Broken 18-Char IDs||Accidentally uppercased or lowercased a set of 18-character IDs? Use this sheet to restore their correct capitalization.|
