I am a tenant in Workforce Housing complex. In April of 2022 there was a flooding incident for which I am now being charged $12,000 bill for. I was not present at the time of the incident as I was on the mainland my daughter had just given birth. BEing that this is a significant amount, I would like help in investigating this issue further.. I have reached out to Legal Aid but was told that damages aren't included in their services. I need help please!!

I am a single parent with limited income and I cannot afford an attorney. I know that I have rights as a tenant, but I don't know where or how I can address this situation. Every month I get a Termination of Lease memo and it's caused undue stress and anxiety.
