PURPOSE: To confirm that the horse demonstrates correct basics, by showing suppleness both laterally and longitudinally, moving freely forward in a clear rhythm with a steady tempo, and readily accepting contact with the bit. Correct geometry and lines of travel should be shown. All trot work may be ridden sitting or rising, unless otherwise stated. Halts may be through the walk.RIDER #10124-2Link:

thank you for a lovely show turnout! Extra remarks for training are: this horse appears tense and rider appears to be constantly holding the horse back. if rider could get used to/ comfortable with the horse going correctly forward you might be able to get into a more elastic and confident connection. Horse needs to relax and be allowed to go fwd. Rider has to half halt to maintain correct balance and tempo without constantly restricting forward movement. Easier said than done of course, but need to train this talented horse to calm doan maintain a tempo and balance, and rider has to be secure enough to ALLOW a more forgiving/elastic contact and allow the horse to be actively forward. i think you can do this.. it's a lovely horse!
