1	Stroke & Turn Junior Official (Age 16-17)
2	Education & Training	Member of USA Swimming
3		Attend Stroke & Turn Clinic training or Admin Official Training
4		Pass USA Swimming Stroke & Turn Judge certification testor Admin Official Test
5		Apprentice a minimum of four (4) Training Sessions total over two (2) differnet meets with a Trainer (cannot make a disqualification during those apprentice Sessions.)
6		Satisfactory performance.
7	Evaluation & Certification	Apprenticeship signed off by a Certifier.
8		Must complete certification within one (1) year from date of Clinic
9		May officiate in any LSC meet below the Championship level
10	Recertification - every 3 years	Worked a minimum of eight (8) Sessions, within a three (3) year period, at a minimum of two (2) different meets in Stroke & Turn or higher capacity.
11		Attend Clinic every three (3) years.
12		Pass USA Swimming recertificaiton test every three (3) years for the highest certificaiton held.
13		Satisfacory performance.
14	Comment	Once a person is certified as a stroke and turn official, they are encouraged to participate in as many meets as they can to gain experience and knowledge. This will allow those running meets to have greater confidence in their ability to officiate at mets of various levels.
15	Restrictions	Junior Officials may only officiate at meets that are classified below LSC Championship level. In CT, the Championship level includes Senior Championships, Age Group Championships and YMCA State Championships. Once a Junior Official turns 18, they will automatically be moved to regular Stroke & Turn status and will need to complete their Background Check and APT in order to be in good standing. A Junior Official who is working as an Admin Official MUST be supervised by an adult Admin Official.
