5 | ABOUT THE BETWEEN: GHOSTS OF EL PASO | CONTENTS
6 | #REF! | The Between: Ghosts of El Paso is a tabletop roleplaying game about a group of ghost hunters in the township of El Paso, Texas in the late 19th century. The players take the roles of members of The Vigilance Committee and deal with the effects of the Wounded Night, a seasonal phenomenon in El Paso that takes place in the fall every six years. During the season of the Wounded Night, the veil between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead is thinned. The hunters learn about various ghostly threats around El Paso and conduct investigations in order to neutralize them. Over time, they become aware of the plans of a criminal mastermind who is pulling the strings behind the scenes. The hunters will eventually be forced to confront this mastermind in order to save their community. The Between: Ghosts of El Paso is inspired by Western films and TV shows such as Deadwood, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Quick and the Dead, and Unforgiven. It also takes inspiration from Texas folklore and urban legends, as well as the music of Johnny Cash and other artists. The Between: Ghosts of El Paso is available on DriveThruRPG. *Note: The Between: Ghosts of El Paso requires The Between to play. | Intro - The current tab, which features information about the game, this tool and a scenario selector. 11 | NOTES & RECOMMENDATIONS
12 | • Hiding or unhiding rows and columns is helpful to keep some aspects of this keeper a surprise and also to keep the player's screen as uncluttered as possible. Not sure how to hide or unhide columns or rows? Check out this guide: https://www.alphr.com/hide-cells-in-google-sheets/ • You should hide any sheets (or playbooks) you don't think your group will be using. • If you're using a web browser, consider selecting View > Full Screen from the menu above to remove screen clutter. • If you (or a player) make a mistake or accidentally drag/edit the wrong section of the keeper, remember that the Undo function (CTRL/CMD+Z) will fix most errors! • There is a blank playbook to the far right of the other playbooks. If you need more than one, here are the steps to add others: 1. Ensure the blank playbook is expanded. 2. Select the entire blank character column, including the empty columns beyond the white border on either side (columns EX-FV, by default), from the horizontal bar with the column letters in it. You can select the whole thing by clicking column EX, holding shift, then clicking column FV. Press CMD/CTRL+C. Do not deselect these columns. 3. Use the Insert > Columns > Insert 25 columns to the right menu or right-click option to add 25 more columns to the right. 4. Select the 25 new columns (FW-GU, by default) in the same manner as before, and press CMD/CTRL+V to paste. Enjoy!
