ROOM IN THE INN VOLUNTEER SIGNUP 2024-2025

MSLC will once again open our church to 10 neighbors who would otherwise not have a hot meal or a warm place to sleep during the coldest months of the year. Room in the Inn will take place every other week on Thursday evenings. Please sign up below to indicate how you would like to lend a hand with this important ministry. ** Please consider staying to eat and chat with our guests. It sends a strong message of solidarity and not charity.

6pm, Thursday - 6am, Friday4 pm- Set up beds, tables, chairs. Cot setup, making personal care kits & bathroom set up.
FOUR VOLUNTEERS		4 pm - Set the tables. Serving set up. General dinner set.
TWO VOLUNTEERS		Please be at church at 3 pm. You will then pick up the minivan at Enterprise and proceed to pick up the men at Roof Above. Then bring them to the church. You will be working with Angelo (the other driver). Angelo is very experienced at this, and will walk you through it. For more info, text Angelo at 704-507-5846. THERE MAY BE A LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION FOR THIS ROLE.
ONE MALE VOLUNTEER		Driver will need to be at church at 5:45 am. You will drop men off at transit center and/Roof Above. Then drop minivan off at Enterprise and return to the church around 7:45 am. You will be working with Angelo (the other driver). For more info, text Angelo at 704-507-5846. THERE MAY BE A LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION FOR THIS ROLE.
ONE MALE VOLUNTEER		5 pm - Greet guests, make annoucements, say prayer; a short script will be availble to you upon arrival.
ONE VOLUNTEER		5 pm - Eat & chat with guests;
TWO VOLUNTEERS		5:30 pm - Clean up kitchen, wipe tables, wash dishes. THREE VOLUNTEERS5pm - 6am - Stay with guests; Hosts needs to be available throughout the entire shift to address guest concerns and questions. Thank you.
TWO MALES NEEDED 		Specifiy what you are bringing so we have a variety (please list allergens).
TWO VOLUNTEERS		Drop off by 4pm.(please list allergens and specify if soup contain meat / what type).
TWO VOLUNTEERS		Thursday, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm; MSLC owns washer and 2 dryers. This person will launder the mens' clothes.This service is greatly appreciated by our guests.
ONE VOLUNTEER 		5-6 pm Thursday - Assemble breakfast / lunch bags for the next day.
ONE VOLUNTEER		5-7 am; Prepare coffee, general tidying, breakfast dishes. Also, get the bedding laundry started before the laundry crew arrives.
TWO VOLUNTEERS 		8 am - 2 pm; Friday; Each volunteer is asked to do a 2-hour shift. Volunteers coordinate with each other (contact info listed below this signup). MSLC owns a washer and two dryers.
