Ancient Mesoamerica is the international forum for the method, theory, substance and interpretation of Mesoamerican archaeology, art history and ethnohistory. The journal Convivium publishes original papers from the field of medieval art history. Its goal is to invest in the vitality of the interests that connect eastern and western Europe and the cultural roots they share through the Mediterranean. Convivium covers an extended chronological range, from the Early Christian period until the end of the Middle Ages. Equally vast is the range of subjects it treats. Critical Collective works towards building knowledge of the arts in India. Since its inception in 2011, it has collaborated closely with institutions in India and abroad to create exhibitions and seminars on art. The website, criticalcollective.in, is based on the need for concerted editing and preservation of writing on the visual arts in India. Critical Interventions: Journal of African Art History and Visual Culture is a forum for advanced research and writing that investigates African and African Diaspora art and cultural identities in the age of globalization. As an arena for rethinking African art history and interrogating the value of African art and cultural knowledge in the global economy and how that knowledge is transmitted, Critical Interventions is particularly interested in the politics of the commodification of African artworks and of their reception. H-ART Revista de historia, teoría y crítica de arte is a peer reviewed publication created in 2016 funded by the Department of Art History with the support of the School of Graduate Studies of the School of Art and Humanities at the University of the Andes (Bogota, Colombia). Its objective is to contribute to the dissemination of the research, analyses and opinions about the history, theory and criticism of art. For this reason, the journal receives and publishes previously unpublished articles by national and international authors, a Questionnaire on Art History and reviews about recent publications and exhibitions. The journal seeks to be an open space to a plurality of ideas that allows the creation of a forum for the reflections about art. It is aimed to professors, professionals, graduate students and people interested in the history, theory and criticism of art and other related areas. H-ART is a semiannual publication (January-June, July-December) and is published at the beginning of each of these periods. The quality of the articles is ensured through an internal and external evaluation process, which is carried out by national and international academic peers.

Publishing while in graduate school, and as early career researchers, is increasingly expected as part of preparing for the current job market in higher education. Now more than ever graduate students need more direction and guidance on how to approach publishing during their graduate school years. This roundtable will address concerns, expectations, and advice for publishing in graduate school to speak to these important issues that are a part of the current graduate school and hiring climate, especially for medieval studies in higher education. The methodology for this session will be focused on providing speakers who have a spread of experience, primarily editors and writers who as graduate students have developed and published pieces of their work. But also, we would like to encourage participants who are editors and/or authors that have published and been involved in publishing as early career researchers and can address what they are looking for in new scholars and authors of publishable pieces.

"Iconographica" is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study of images in their historical, cultural and religious contexts. It promotes new and interdisciplinary approaches to images going beyond the traditional framework of iconographic studies and aims at shaping new methodologies in this field. It welcomes essays investigating the role played by images in mediating material and symbolic forms of cultural communication, in conveying a human group's shared perception of power, behavioral codes, philosophical and religious notions. A special emphasis is given to images as material objects and visual indicators of the supernatural dimension, in their direct interaction with space, rituals, social and economic practices and cultural manifestations. Though focused on the European and Mediterranean cultures from Late Antiquity onwards, it welcomes methodologically relevant articles on the use, perception and agency of images in all human cultures.

Journal of Art Historiography

The Journal of Art Historiography exists to support and promote the study of the history and practice of art historical writing. The historiography of art has been strongly influenced by traditions inaugurated by Giorgio Vasari, Winckelmann and German academics of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Consequent to the expansion of universities, museums and galleries, the field has evolved to include areas outside of its traditional boundaries. There is a double danger that contemporary scholarship will forget its earlier legacy and that it will neglect the urgency and rigour with which those early debates were conducted. The earlier legacy remains embedded in ‘normal’ practice. More recent art history also stands in need of its own scrutiny. The journal is committed to studying art historical scholarship, in its institutional and conceptual foundations, from the past to the present day in all areas and all periods.

explores the cultural functioning of curating and its relation to exhibitions, institutions, audiences, aesthetics and display culture. The journal takes a wide perspective in the inquiry into what constitutes "the curatorial." Curating has evolved considerably from the connoisseurship model of arranging objects to now encompass performative, virtual and interventionist strategies. While curating as a spatialized discourse of art objects remains important, the expanded cultural practice of curating not only produces exhibitions for audiences to view, but also plays a catalytic role in redefining aesthetic experience, framing cultural conditions in institutions and communities, and inquiring into constructions of knowledge and ideology.
