WHAT TO WATCH : (Sept. 26, 2025)
Epstein Files - Rep. Massie has a discharge petition that would bring to the floor a discharge bill that would require the Trump administration to release files on Jeffrey Epstein. (It will put representatives on the record on Epstein files, but because the bill will likely die in the Senate it may not result in the release of the files.)
Looming Government Shutdown - In GOP's effort to pass a House spending package before the 9/30 deadline, Trump and his party have refused to negotiate with the Democrats who have demanded thru Minority Leader Schumer and others that any funding bill contain an extension of the enhanced Affordable Care Act premium subsidies along with several other items. GOP leaders want an extension of funding for seven weeks, with additional money for security for the legislative, executive and judicial branches.
