9/3/2024 19:06:13SoHo3rdBathroomDoorjamb is rotting / too large. I want to install a new strike plate (current one is very loud), but the existing strike plate is too large. Upon removing the plate, I noticed there is a big hole in the door jamb. According to the internet, the "correct" solution is to cut out this section of the doorjamb and replace it with new wood. After looking into it, it's likely from the water pipes in this bathroom. It is generally when the shower is in use but also now coming from the toilet. It resolves fast if the handle is pushed up. Since it became a thing in the last couple of months (been in this room since August) it could be symptom of a larger issue.
