>        Below executive management and may be responsible for managing people and/or major programs (e.g. Model S)

>        Goal achievement is measured by the performance of direct reports and/or managing projects; in some instances a manager may be responsible for a functional area and not have people reporting to them

>        Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills

>        Generally requires a university degree or its equivalent in education and experience

>        Works independently; typically has flexibility and authority over daily work priorities

>        Goal achievement is measured by managing projects or delivery of a specific deliverable

>        May manage other employees up to 50% of the time, but people management is not the primary responsibility
16
>        May be either exempt or nonexempt under the US Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Support Individual Contributor

>        Focus is on completing tasks or activities supporting implementation of procedures

>        Roles require general education, vocational, and or on-the-job training

>        May require decision-making but with limited financial implications to the company

>        Never a manager, but may provide direction to other employees with similar duties

>        Generally nonexempt under the US Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), but may be salaried
