Week 4Financial LiteracySubmit Sample Budget Worksheet(W4) A lot of goals typically revolve around financial security. So let’s discuss paying for college, setting personal budgets, and understanding money management.

Week 5Communication
Submit example of writing (thank you note, informational interview email, reference request)
(W5) Understanding your finances may mean that you have to ask for help and reach out to offices, therefore it is important to know how to communicate with BMCC faculty, staff, and different service providers.

Week 6Careers & InterestsSubmit Career Coach Assessment Results(W6) Communication is especially important when exploring career options. Reaching out to make new connections, understanding who to email or call, how to email or call, requires understanding proper communication etiquette.

Week 7Preparing for Academic Advisement
Find your Degree Map. Submit 3-5 courses planning to take in Spring 2022
(W7) Now that you know how to communicate, it is time to start reaching out to your academic advisor and/or faculty advisor to start planning for your next semester and beyond.

Week 8Motivation (Share/Post etc)Submit favorite motivational video, poem, picture, article(W8) We’re halfway through the semester and you may start feeling a little sluggish. Let’s talk motivation and how to keep your goals in mind as you enter the back half of the semester.

Week 9Mental Health & Wellness Gratitude Journal(W9) Part of staying motivated is understanding how to maintain your mental wellness and health. Let’s discuss tactics and tips to manage stress, anxiety, self-doubt, and more.

Week 10Physical Health, Wellness, and Fitness Self-care Plan (3 O framework)(W10) We’ve discussed the mind now it is time to focus on the body. Physical health, wellness, and fitness is important for your overall well-being.

Reflection on how you can be more engaged in the community
(W11) Another aspect of your overall well-being is understanding the systems, environments, and atmospheres in which we exist. We’ll explore issues of injustice, civic empowerment, and how to create change within our community.
