Exporting - Simply exporting after each sim will get you 1 point

Recruiting - if you recruit someone who plays one full season with us, you will get 5 points

Awards voting - If you vote on our own off-game award, the All-WBF team, you will get an extra 5 points.

World Baseball Classic - GMing for one of the eight teams when we do the WBC every four years will net you 5 points.

Participating in the trade voting committee - Anyone in the trade council will receive 5 points at season’s end.

Things to spend your participation points on:

30 PP: Relocate. Relocating to a new nation requires a rebranding in addition to new ballpark factors. Cooldown period of five seasons. Can only be used if you spent at least one *full* season in WBF.

30 PP: Altering an owner’s personality. You can only use this if you a) have been a GM for at least five seasons b) have never won the World Series and c) your owner is over the age of 80. Your owner is afraid they will die without having seen their team take it all, so they become a bit more relaxed. One personality trait of theirs can be altered in a positive direction.

20 PP: Rebrand. The original GMs put a lot of thought into trying to come up with culturally specific names. We would appreciate it if you did this too! Cooldown period of five seasons. Can only be used if you have spent at least one *full* season in WBF.

15 PP: Reversing a manager’s controlling attitude. When a manager seizes hiring of coaching staff, setting strategy, lineups, pitching staff, hiring coaches, etc. you can reverse it with this perk.

15 PP: Altering a player’s personality. You can increase one of a player’s personality traits (Work Ethic, Intelligence, Adaptability, Greed, Leader) by 10 points on the 1-200 scale in the editor.

There is a cap of three increases per trait and five total increases per player. The player must be under the age of 25to be eligible. Only players selected in the amateur WBF draft are eligible for this perk. Players cannot be boosted until they have spent one full year in the minors. Increases can not be done on traits that are already in the green.

15 PP: Add 500 more seats to your stadium. Cooldown period of three seasons. Cap of 60,000 seats.

15 PP: Increase a player’s durability - Only eligible for Wrecked and Fragile players. If a position player has managed to play consecutive seasons of 95+ games, they are eligible for this perk.

Starting pitchers with 120+ innings pitched and relief pitchers with 45+ innings pitched in consecutive seasons are eligible for this perk.

Minor leaguers who play in 70+ games and pitch 75+ innings and 30+ innings are eligible. All injury ratings will be set at 76, the median between Durable and Fragile.

10 PP: Alter ballpark factors. Ballpark factors in high elevation cities (>5,000 ft) must have every factor over 1. Cooldown period of five seasons.

10 PP: Turn a retired player into a coach. The player must have been on your roster for at least five seasons and had at least one positive character trait. There are ten different coaching abilities and eight different ratings, leading to what amounts to a maximum of ‘80 points’ that a coach can have. You will be given 40 points to distribute. The new player-coach must have points distributed to relevant categories that correlate with their position and skill throughout their career. For example an elite defensive catcher will need to have points put into Teach Catching to make it a blue rating.

5 PP: You can rename one player drafted after the 5th round… within reason. For example, you cannot name a Japanese player “Mike Trout V.”

5 PP: Give a player a custom nickname. They must have spent at least one full season on your major league team to be eligible for a nickname.
