Additional factors for this decision:
47
Jill lives in Southern California on the coast, so the temperature fluctuates between ~40-90degF throughout the year, but is fairly stable at ~60-75degF; she doesn't need to worry about battery performance at extreme temperatures.
48
Jill has solar panels at home and her home is set up for EV charging. Additionally, there are charging stations nearby. Home charging was a major factor that she wanted to make the switch from ICE to EV.
49
Jill works from home mostly, and lives near an airport. She will mostly do local trips and occasionally a longer trip (~6 times per year). Along all routes there are charging stations available.
50
Jill lives with her partner who has a Chevy Volt (Plug-in Hybrid). They often choose to use this vehicle for long trips (think LA to SF or multi-day roadtrips (but may switch to using her EV in the case that it is more fun/practical/environmentally friendly/etc.).
51
Jill tends to prefer to own the car and drive a car until it is basically broken. She is considering reselling the car after ~3-5 years of use.
52
Jill is not sure if she will purchase a new or used vehicle yet, and is open to either option.
