14 | Communications Director | Is Admin of Google Site, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Peach Jar, and Board generated emails. Sends out required email communciations via these modalities to everyone and anyone the board needs to communicate with. Supports event teams/committees in sending out flyers/information provided by committees and teams. Works to design Communication materials including newsletters, Canva Flyers, and Banners. |
15 | Business/Corporate Relations | Creating and maintains relationships with corporations/business regarding sponsorships to support the Foundation. |
16 | Recruiting Director | Stay on the look out for new people and is the lead of the nominating committee for the coming school year. They would also use Google Drive to keep the roster up-to-date and help maintain the job descriptions list for new volunteers as descriptions change over the years. |
17 | Scholarship Director | Works with the MVHS Career Center to make sure they have up-to-date Foundation scholarship applications each year. Attends MVHS scholarship committee meeting when MVHS scholarships winners are determined. Connect with founding principal Rodney Goldenberg each year to see if he wants to pick winners of the scholarships named after him. Arranges with Career Center contact for Foundation to determine Timberwolves Foundation scholarship winners. Creates a committee of 3 people to go through scholarship applications and determine which students will receive scholarships and how much they will receive. Works with Webmaster to make sure scholarsip page on our website is up-to-date and links to applications are going to the write place. Either the Scholarship Director or someone else on the board must attend the Senior Awards Night at MVHS to hand out the scholarships. Rodney usually comes and hands out the ones he has picked. |
18 | Registration Coordinator | Designs, promotes and maintains these programs. In charge of making sure we had flyers and marketing emails scheduled for the Challenge during registration days in August and for about 2 months after that. Makes sure we have enough envelopes for donations left from prior years or orders new ones. We also have all the email ads from previous years so work with Markeing Director to up date them and make sure they are scheduled to go out. Challenge can be changed if board desires. Gold Ribbon Parent ($100 or more) and $20 Challenge are current programs. After registration days are over try and get at least 3 people to help enter all the new email addresses we get into our Constant Contact program. It would be your job to make sure anyone who is a Gold Ribbon Parent or $20 parent was put in that category on the site. That helps if we have an email we want to send to just them. Lastly you would need to email a receipt to those parents that donated with a thank you. Simple Word Doc is in Google Drive for this purpose.Can be edited and used as a pdf each year and sent out via Constant Contact or individual email. |
19 | Grant Administrator | Receives grant requests from school staff, coaches and clubs. Establishes a grant committee to review grant requests and establishes timeline for grant cycles. Reveiws grant requests with administration and the committee to determine if other money is available in the district or school to help pay for grants. Presents grant committee findings and recommendations to the board. Notifies grant requestors of boards decisions, informs them how to get acquire their funds when applicable and requests follow-up and acknowlegement of Foundation from requestors. Provides acknowledgment letters to webmaster and social media people for possible posting. |
20 | Grant Writer | The Grant Writer(s) serve to research and prepare grants that will provide short-term and long-term financial support to Mission Vista High School. |
21 | Graphic Designer | Designs flyers, signs, posters, web and email materials for events and committee chairs. |
22 | Webmaster | Inputs content and maintains website. Updates information on Grants, Scholarships and Events as provided by committees, photographer, and other members. |
23 | Fundraising Chair | Over see the management of all fundraising events and passive fundraising activites. Work with committees to design and implement fundraising events, including annual fundraisers and galas. |
24 | Creativity Director | In charge of decorations for events at school and fundraisers. |
25 | Teacher Representative | A teacher or MVHS staff member who is the liaison between Teachers/Staff and Foundation. This is a non-voting position. |
26 | Parlimentarian | Helps President keep order during board meetings. |
27 | Hospitality Director | This person would be in charge of making sure someone brought snacks to each meeting and they would organize our potluck holiday and end of year parties. |

31 | Budget Committee | Meets with the treasurer in the summer months, before school starts, to establish the Foundation budget for the coming school year. |

33 | Fundraising Committee | Helpt the fundraising chair in the process of creating and implementing fundraising events and activities. |
34 | By-Laws Committee | Meets to go over founding documents and recommends any needed changes to the board. Implements updates approved by the board. Files new documents. |
35 | Registration Days Committee | Helps School Events Coorindator, Creativity Director and Challenge Director with schedule of volunteers, table set-up and decorations for registration days. |
