10	Clock	Four - 8 Minute Quarters Clock stops for: 1. Free throws 2. Mid-quarter substitutions 3. Time outs 4. Last minute of the game
11	Free Throws	12'
12	Defense	Can play Man to Man or Zone Can steal off the dribble or pass Cannot double team the ball- unless inside 3pt line
13	Defensive pick-up	After made basket or dead ball, defensive players must retreat to the top of the 3 pt arc extended until the ball has crossed half court
14	Pressing (Full court man to man)	Only in the last minute of the game (Still no double teaming)
15	Halftime	2 Minutes
16	Overtime	2 Minutes, Team fouls carry over, Time-outs do not
17	Time-Outs	2 per half
18	Lane violations	4 seconds
19	Fouls	1 and 1 on 6th/quarter, double bonus on 8th, max 5 personal fouls
20	Required playing time for players	Each player must play at least 1/2 of every game
21	Coaches	One coach may be standing during play, Coach's box only
22	Mercy Rule	If 30+ pt lead in second half, score is set to 0-0 for the remainder of the game. Scoresheet continues to be kept. (At the losing teams coach’s request, scoreboard may be updated to reflect the actual score.)

24	PRUMC Basketball Substitution Rules for Ages 5-14 (for in-house leagues):
25	Minimum playing time rule: When possible, all players must play at least half of each quarter. (This included players in "foul trouble")
26	Free substitutions may take place as long as the minimum playing time rule is satisfied.
27	All players must check in (kneel below) the scorer’s table in order to sub into the game.
28	Midway through each quarter, at a dead ball, the clock will stop and the referee will call for subs. (Players going into the game should be kneeling at the scorer's table by this time.)
29	Players may enter the game only when the referee signals him or her onto the court from the scorer's table area - (not directly from the bench).

31	Coach Behavior: If a coach questions vehemently any decision on the floor by any official then a technical foul should be and is expected to be called. All technical fouls are to be recorded in the score book. The coach's name and period and time of the foul should be recorded, as well. The coach who receives a technical foul will remain seated on the bench for the rest of the game. If there is second technical administrated to that same coach he or she will be asked to leave the gym. Understand that person has lost the privilege to view the rest of that contest. He or she is not to sit in the stands or in the threshold of the door that leads to the gym. In other words; out the door and down the stairs out of the view of player, parents, and staff.

33	Coach's Box: Only one coach may be standing during the game. There shall be no coaches, players, parents or supporters allowed in the area between the coach's box and the scorers table. Coaches may be assessed a technical foul for standing outside the box. A warning can be given to remind the coach of where he or she should be standing. Once a technical foul is assessed to the coach, he or she must remain seated until the end of the game and are only allowed to stand during a time out, breaks at the quarters & half's or to help any injured player.

35	Parent (Spectator) Behavior: Parents should remain seated when possible. If standing is necessary, it should be away from the sideline. Parents should not communicate with the players, coaches, scorekeepers or referees during the game, Parents may not argue with the judgment of the referee. Failure to comply with these guidelines could result in removal from the gym - at the discretion of the referee.

37	In the event volunteer scorekeepers are needed, Visiting team supplies a clock operator, Home team supplies a scoresheet scorer. (Note to both: watch the refs not just the game.)
