Purpose: This dashboard is designed to help you monitor individual student progress in key reading comprehension skills across multiple mastery checks. It gives you a place to record scores, plan next steps, and document conference conversations — all in one snapshot.

🛠️ How to Use This Dashboard

Step 1: Duplicate the student tabs for each of your students

Use this for each student during a 6–9 week grading period. You can print the PDF version.

Step 2: Identify Target Skills

Choose 1–3 focus skills (e.g., Main Idea, Inference, Context Clues) that you will assess throughout the grading period.

Step 3: Log Mastery Check Scores

Use informal assessments, exit tickets, or quick quizzes to gather 3 data points for each skill:

Mastery Check #1: After the initial skill lesson

Mastery Check #2: After a reteach or small group

Mastery Check #3: After a review or independent application

The cells will change color based on the student’s performance:

🔴 Below 70% = Red (Skill not yet mastered)

🟡 70%–79% = Yellow (Approaching mastery)

🟢 80% and above = Green (Mastered)

Step 4: Use the Next Steps Column

After each check, determine what support the student needs:

Use the dropdown munu to choose an action item

You can select other and type your own intervention in the notes column

Step 5: Track Progress Trends

After at least 2 data points, the progress trend will appear. A "N/A" will appear if only 1 data point is recorded.

Use the “Progress Trend” space to see progression trends

This helps you quickly spot who needs reteaching or who’s ready to move on.
