Settings for Thermo Instruments

"24 m/z staggered" shorthand means 24 m/z wide tiles that are staggered every other cycle by half the window width. These settings assume that your peak widths are around 25-45 seconds wide. If your peaks are significantly outside that range then you should adjust the windowing scheme accordingly. If your peaks are wider then you can use narrower windows (eg, if it says 24 m/z staggered you might get better results with 16 m/z staggered). If your peaks are narrower then you should use wider windows (eg, if it says 8 m/z staggered you might get better results with 12 m/z staggered).
