He says he wouldn't go so far as to say that all money in campaigns can be regulated, but he says he thinks that corporations, unions, etc. should have different/more limited rights than actual human beings. Said he'll look over our resolution, and that he's "a man of ideas" and is open to it.Spoke with a little bit and gave the same sentiment as Dylan earlier. I gave him the wolf-pac website again.

His statement on getting money out of federal politics was, every individual be able to give money, but he said there was a ton of corruption and he already supports caps. I will seek a meeting with him after the fourth of july.Left a message.

CraneMike28R2(404) 656-6446Contacted 11/18Dylan ShapiroDylan Shapiro (12/14)Spoke with him at length. He is ideologically right where we want him. Hates big money in politics, and thinks the Constitution is the only way for real change. However, is concerned about a runaway convention. Despite citing the DOJ report on a limited con-con and that it hasn't happened before, he is worried that "Chamber of Commerce could rewrite the constitution." Sent him our resolution and the DOJ report on limited con-cons. I don't think he will need much pushing, and he promised to get back to me with whether he could see himself supporting our resolution. If contacting, approach in a non-partisan, if not conservative/tea party manner. He's very much that way.Called office, which said I should email him since they are out of session and he has another job that takes up most of his time. Sent followup email.

GinnFrank101111R2(404) 656-4700(706) 680-4466Contacted 9/24Dylan ShapiroTalked with him for a while. Very good at talking without giving a concrete answer. Says he'll support our legislation if he thinks it's "better than what we currently have." I have a meeting of sorts arranged. He asked me to page for him through the Senate's program, and said he'd be willing to talk with me then about whether or not he'd support us. Not too optimistic, but hopefully I can get him to come around.

Corresponded over email, he said that he isn't one to jump to amendments, and thinks we should have other priorities. Didn't seem real interested in a followup, but I sent him some info on the bipartisanship of our movement, as he said people should stop blaming the other party.

Dylan ShapiroFinally got him on the phone after us missing each others' calls. He thinks there's definitely too much money in the political process. Was initially skeptical of runaway convention, but the talking point on 700 state convnetions w/ no runaways seemed effective. Said he'd look over resolution.

Jones IIHarold V.22D2(404) 463-3942(706) 339-14247/8/16Dylan ShapiroNate ThompsonDoesn't think money changes a reps. core beliefs, but thinks Citizens United needs to be overturned, and is open to reform. Says it's not a state issue, and that Congress should deal with it because it concerns them. Said to call him back next week because he had some work he had to get done immediately. Last time I talked to him he said the same thing. His secretary never arranged us a call.In correspondence via email. Trying to set up a meeting.
