AtaleiahComments: All 2 for classes/greetings except newer people as they are more confident with Whakatau class names than takitini. They use greetings when it is used to them but they aren't fluently using greetings. Still working on understanding what whanaungatanga really means. Karakias and waiata getting stronger, can do well but wokring on more independence with karakia kai. Sofia and Cameron have not had much time at school this is the reason for their lower marks.1NA211122

GracynComments: They are all at a 2 for the harakeke protocols unless they were not here for all sessions. As they all followed the instructions well but they would not be able to remember this information independently. The karakia kai is now really solid, the newer students are the only ones that struggle now. The hub song is a work in progress and something we will continue to learn. We are super impressed with how the mihimihi work has started and they are all well on their way to learning their mihimihi for next term, again based on how long they have been at school as some have only been here for a few weeks.1111

SamWe had learnt our mihimihis at a relatively good stage with a lot more than shown here able to share them off by heart but then with the lockdown we lost a lot of our progress and this took a lot of them back to just actually only being at the 2 level as they still need some prompting to remind them of their mihimihi lines. We didn't get very far with the mihi whakatau process this term as again before lockdown we had only done a few lessons and then after we came back we focused on relearning our mihimihis. It was disappointing that we went into lockdown as they were really engaged in learning the process adn enjoyed when we prwactised the hongi etc. Swimming has impacted our te reo teaching as half of them only get one learning session a week.
