This is a quick-start guide originally made to help me figure out how hard/easy it would be to get my characters up to speed with their azerite pieces for 8.2 , as well as good places to look for azerite pieces for each spec, all in one place instead of digging through a whole lotta pages for each spec and class.Tiraffe made this, with help from Fokola

This guide will serve to answer three questions:
4
1. Can a spec get all of their best traits from the new raid in every slot (Head, Shoulders and Chest) and only from raid?
5
2. If good azerite pieces for each slot are unavailable from raid, where can that spec pick up the remaining pieces?
6
3. If I don't like doing X, can I still get good azerite pieces elsewhere?
7
8
Note: I'll probably update this for when the zone traits start getting simmed, and maybe consolidate the azerite essences too
9
Note: These are mainly focusing on PURE single-target spec-specific traits. If you're looking for more zone-specific traits, you'll still have to grab a spec trait for that piece anyway. Not all zone traits are equal though, so you'll have fewer options if you're looking to stack zone traits.
10
Note: WQ Emissaries will now drop up to 415 ilevel pieces, so that might be good for some specs at the start, but should not be seen as a reliable source if you need a specific slot.
11
Note: This won't contain much in regards to one-of traits, like Blood Mist, unless they're something you want to stack, like Arcanic Pulsar, where going past the one-of nets a similar dps increase to other traits.
12
Note: Most boss fights aren't completely single target, it may be worth looking into using aoe talents/traits for fights such as Opulence or Zul, or traits that take advantage of health percentages for fights like Rastakhan. Emphasis on single target is due to its prevalance and inevitability.
13
14
The new azerite traits for Nazjatar and Mechagon can be found on azerite gear from the new raid/zone and new dungeon respectively.
15
16
Nazjatar:
17
Undulating Tides is probably the weakest out of all of these for dps.For reference, UT deals 4306 Frost damage at 400 ilvl per proc. A 400 ilvl Tidal Surge (generally a good zone trait) deals 4151 Frost damage AND slows the target. Might see use for tanks. Unsure about how this will be in PVP.
18
Loyal To the End will be better for raids than dungeons/arenas and will depend on how good the pieces with that trait are for mastery specs. Might be really good for rated bgs and progression fights to turn players into pseudo-ret paladins.
19
Arcane Heart will probably be better for specs that don't care when it procs, and will likely be signicantly better for aoe than single target. Can't proc on pull though (better for ramp specs), and specs that constantly offheal (Spriest) will find themselves with more uptime for this trait.
20
21
Arcane Heart can proc every 37.5 seconds with a sum of 40k dps and hps
22
With 30k d/hps, this increases to every 50 seconds

Mechagon:
30
These will depend heavily on either having the right stats from the Mechagon Trinket for the Person-Computer Interface (available on the 430 head piece) or having a bunch of every secondary stat at infrequent intervals for the Clockwork Heart (available on the 415 shoulder/chest piece).
31
Specs like Havoc DH, Frost DK, WW Monk, Demo Lock, where they want boosts to more than 2 secondary stats will probably want the Clockwork Heart.
