|This sheet can be used to make the draw for a tournament and directly generate all the group and KO sheets||You should only (have to) make changes in the GREEN fields!|
|These can be printed, filled live with the results and easily shared to everyone||You need a Google account to use this.|
(for the best experience, use Google Chrome)
|0||Be sure you use the newest version: http://tiny.cc/ICOtournamentsheet||Don't copy a sheet from a previous tournament. Use that at http://tiny.cc/ICOtournamentsheet: bug fixes and updates are made continuously!|
|1||Create a COPY of this sheet for your own use||Goto "File" menu and choose "Make a copy ..." - THEN you can make changes!|
|2||For larger tournaments, create a copy for each category||See step 1. Each category will create one sheet for each group and one for KO. This creates a lot of sheets. If you have several categories, it is easier to have multiple documents: in one browser window, you will have one tab for each category. In each tab, you will have a few sheets (one for each group and KO).|
|It might also be easier for others to browse the results.|
|3||In the MAIN sheet, specify the settings for your tournament||In the MAIN sheet, choose your federation (e.g. ICO). Next, shoose the category and whether you want to have a group phase or not.|
|If your fedaration or category is not available, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will enter it for you. You can also try to add it yourself in the hidden sheet "Categories".|
|4||In the MAIN sheet, enter the participants.|
For DOUBLES, use the sheet "Helper for Double"
|You can easily copy list of participants from Ophardt registration ovrview page, see a brief video at https://goo.gl/photos/xKCvok6rH3m6YazB7 (using the old Ophardt System; with the new one, paste at cell B2, not A2)|
|The corresponding ranking points will be automatically retrieved (if there is an internet connection) - takes a few seconds. If you copy from Ophardt and there are comments, you will have to adjust the list of participants manually (always use COPY/PASTE and then delete manually; if you use CUT/PASTE, the formulas in the "Points" column will be confused)|
|For Doubles, make sure that the pairs are together and the partners are in two consecutive lines!|
For the new Ophardt system, please use the tab "Helper for Double"
|5||Start the draw||In the "Corssminton" menu, choose "Start Draw"|
If everything goes fine, it should generate one sheet for each group (if you have a group phase) and one for the KO phase.
|6||Reset the draw||If everything works fine, you can also reset the draw ("Crossminton" menu, "Reset Draw") and let an official ICO person make the draw for you.|
"Reset Draw" - "Only current category" resets the category that is specifies in the "Category name" field in the MAIN sheet (independent of which sheet is currently displayed)
|7||Create a list of all games||After making the draw, you can generate a list of all games (e.g. for scheduling) using "Crossminton" menu, "Create overview tab".|
|8||Create scoresheets||See documentation at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tHyjoFZzgr5A64XJHUbI-VrttCgHWcWi96UfROfwjkU/edit?usp=sharing|
|9||Share for everyone to see (not edit!)||In the top right corner choose "Share". Click on "Get shareable link" and ensure that "everyone can view" (not edit) is selected. The link can now be shared through any channels.|
|Alternatively, you can also collect all your tournament sheets in one folder in your Google Drive and share the whole folder.|
|10||Print sheets||On a sheet, choose "File" -> "Print"|
|Settings for Group Sheets: Current Sheet, Letter, Fit to width, Landscape|
Settings for KO Sheets: Current Sheet, Letter, Actual size, Landscape
Then print only those pages you need.
|11||Generate results||Each KO sheet shows (scroll right) the results of its category. The top positions are calculated automatically, for the "3rd in group" etc. rankings, click on the "Update Results" button.|
|Using "Crossminton" -> "Results" -> "Save as CSV" generates CSV file(s) in your Google drive that should be directly importable to Ophardt|
|A||Fix the points on the seeding deadline||Ophardt doesn't allow to get the ranking points from a specific date. However, you can open the sheet on the seeding deadline day and then choose "Crossminton" menu, "Ranking / Points" and "Use current ranking (not live)". From now on, it will use the ranking retrieved on that day. You can switch back to live ranking through the menu.|
|B||Create a list of all games||After making the draw, you can generate a list of all games (e.g. for scheduling) using "Crossminton" menu, "Create overview tab".|
Currently, this lists all games in the group phases.
|1||Something went wrong that is not covered below||Contact Paul at email@example.com|
|2||In the results, the country is not filled in||Paste the list of players of all the categories you need the country in your sheet in the MAIN sheet. The results list takes the country from there. There is practically no other way to get it for the sheet.|
|3||In the results, family and first name are separated in a wrong way or not at all||Don't worry, the way the data is processed by the ICO anyway concatenates first and family name together|
|4||In the results for doubles, each player should be in its own line for the ICO tournament report Excel sheet||I know :-( The CSV export works correctly.|
Working on it ......... For now, if doubles are detected, an according list with each partner on a single line is generated to the right for easier copying
|5||The CSV files exported cannot be uploaded to Ophardt||This might well be - I was not able to test it yet ...|
|6||It is extremely slow||It works best and fastest in Google Chrome browser (but true, it is not speed optimized)|
|7||For doubles, it doesn't seem to work||Please use the tab "Helper for Double"|
