6Service to the ArtsMichelleThese students will become a Production Team to support arts based activities, events and productions throughout the year. This team will be formed of backstage crew, lighting and sound technicians, front of house team, stage managers, publicity, costume, hair and make up, runners and more. No prior experience is necessary as you will gain the experience and be trained. You just need to be motivated, reliable, committed and enthusiastic. (Please note that you will sometimes be needed for rehearsals and events outside of school time).MPR room

7Arts Painting group - Art Attack - In ActionHayley GreenThis is a painting group that will use your artistic skills to design and develop murals that will decorate our school environment and community areas and possibly raise awareness of global concerns through the chosen themes and subject. 10Bee clubSri Mahendrani and Anna EricksonTo develop ideas on the different types of media we could use to spread awareness of the global bee decline. This term we would like to take action in the school garden in the new field. We would like to install and maintain stingless bee beehives while documenting the process. 11Trash herosTrash Heroes will focus on sustainable waste management through processes such as; recycling, repurposing plastic materials, distributing food scraps to animals and raising awareness within the school and local community. Trash Heroes will think globally and act locally, starting here at school and looking to inspire the wider community to do all we can to prevent plastic materials entering the rivers and ocean.room ??

12Teaching BahasaLucy Taylor & Dewi PrabayanthiThis is a planning session for Indonesian speaking students to teach adults (teachers, parents) Bahasa as an afterschool session (possibly Wednesday or Thursday 3pm). During MYP hour students will plan lessons, learn the art of teaching and put that into practice for adults on a weekly basis. 15World scholars cupMs McLay/ Mary MacDonaldHere it is again! The WSC is an annual event held in dozens of locations around the world designed to bring students of all ages and nationalities together. You get into teams of 3 and compete as a team. The Bali Regional Round will be held at the Australian Independent School (Bali campus) on THURSDAY 09 and FRIDAY 10 MAY 2019 so you need to be available to attend. This year's possible curriculum topics might include: marginalised people, cults, remote tribes, refugees, explorers, cutting edge inventions, new frontiers, civil rights, apartheid… Just so you know, we study these topics and also practice debating in preparation for the Bali tournament. 16Applause for a Cause

This is a great chance to raise vital funds for the children of Lombok affected by the earthquakes by taking part in a show featuring musical performances and song. You will use this time to prepare your performance or be part of the production/marketing team. Don't worry - if you are already loyally committed to a different service as action group you can still take part in Applause for a Cause and will rehearse in free time instead. The show will take place on THURSDAY 28th FEB so you must be free on this evening and available for a dress rehearsal on Weds 27th Feb/Tues 26th Feb.MPR & Music Room
