10/26/2024 12:10:50Ashley DalbecI'm sharing a Tech-Rich idea or resource!Flashcard - Frappe-le! Any language and any level can play this game.
You make flashcard sets for each table of the unit vocab. Teacher says a vocab word and if the students see it, they grab the flashcard. If they are correct, they keep it as a point. First to 5 wins that round.

Professor- One student is the prof who shows the vocab word. First person to translate and say the vocab word wins that card. If no one knows the vocab word, the prof is the winner and has to teach them the word. Once the whole deck is reviewed, whoever has the most flashcards becomes the new prof.

10/26/2024 12:24:42Amandine Baileya CARD game stationThe Unfair Game - Students in teams will answer questions based on vocab, verbs, culture, etc. Each question they get right, they get to choose to keep the points for themselves or give them a points for another team. The team at the end who is closest to zero (0), wins. Here's the trick - they don't know how many points (and if they're positive or negative) until after they make their decision about what to do with them. So they'll decide to keep it but then go up to pull a card (from a standard card deck)... black suits are positive points & red suits are negative points... face cards are worth 10 points, otherwise all cards are worth face value.

10/26/2024 12:27:07Ashley DalbecI'm sharing a Tech-Rich idea or resource!Mon Crayon - Students only have one pencil at each table, a worksheet per person, and each turn they have to roll a dice. If they roll a six, they start the vocab or grammar sheet. BUT once someone else rolls a six, the other person gets the pencil. It is a race to the end.

10/26/2024 12:33:22Vocabulary Competitiona DIFFERENT stationEach pair of students has a ball, they toss it back and forth. They have to say a word in a category to pass the ball to their partner. For example, colors - one student will say blue and pass to their partner. The next person will say green and pass it back, etc. The winner is the last person who has a unique word to add to that category. Then students can find a new partner and play again.

10/26/2024 12:37:33Amandine Baileya DIFFERENT stationThe Turtle Game - students work in pairs. On a whiteboard, students draw a line down the middle. On top, they draw a turtle with 5 body parts total. The teacher will yell out a vocab word/trivia/etc and the students race to write it down in the target language on the bottom half of their whiteboard. The first student to write it correctly wins the round. They can choose to either add 1 thing to their turtle or erase 1 thing from their opponent's turtle. The player with the most "turtle" at the end wins. Kids love transforming their turtles into giraffe-unicorns riding a skateboard or other random things.
