The skateboard park does not look very inviting and I never notice anyone skateboarding.

Some of the paddle boards weren't fully inflated but it was still nice to have them available.

There are dozens of dog owners in PR that would love an off-leash dog park, and it’s cheaper than anything else on the list.

The community center has limited hours and resources. My wife and I would like to play ping pong there more often.

The Pickleball court does not have a net.

We have never used the Kayak program but hope to use it this summer.

I think the playground should consist of something more safe for ground than rock. Maybe mulch or a soft top. Also the slide is metal and rusty. Would love an upgraded park.

It is important to keep parking lot clear and available for parking in busy weekends for safety.
Please have event set up on lawn or inside.
The dog show did a good job setting up on the lawn so can there groups.

Please include self rescue and wet exits as part of a yearly training event for kayaks users.
Use SKABC to get help for training if needed.
It is irresponsible to not have a basic safety kayak training program for those that need it.

The odds of people being in the building during an earthquake and not be able to evacuate are infinitesimal.

Bakersfield field could be a very nice pitch for sports. But, it needs a ton of work, watering and regular mowing

If the community center drops in an earthquake, we will have much bigger problems than a crumbled building.

Pickle ball court to close to driveway and roadside edge

The parking lot makes it dangerous to play basket ball. Where is there a pickle all court?

Movies in the park was just odd. The movie selection for the last show was not good. Can we not vote on what us shown if our taxpayer money is going towards the movie and employee

Love the idea of summer camp but dates are announced quite late and always fall on weeks where plans have already been made. If we knew dates sooner we would prioritize attendance at summer camp. Also very much appreciate kayak program but the location at Lighthouse means we either need a car rack or kayak dolly to get the kayaks to a safer launch spot, or launch at Lighthouse which is often too wavy for kids. Maple beach location (like SUP) would be better.

Baker horse trails shouldn’t have gnomes on it as it frightens the horses. I also feel the gnomes are horrible and detract from the physical beauty of the forest.

The Community Center needs rethinking in terms of both how it’s maintained and how it is utilized.

The basketball and pickle all courts having to share life with a tiny parking lot are not safe nor adequate. Possible to relocate them to Baker Field property or other resource ? And upgrade both .

You should offer at least one sit-on-top kayak for use please!

Offer better movies and maybe away for community to vote among several offerings prior to selection.

The Pickleball court needs to be approved to include fencing around it so you don’t have to chase the ball around better marking up the court and a nice net for Pickleball.

We appreciate the hard work that the Park sport and employees have done to maintain the trails and facilities.

The community center should have a community kitchen. Don't hire the same guy who put in the wrong septic system to upgrade his mistakes. Also, I didnt even know about the pickleball court and better signage or communication about this opportunity would be nice.

It would be nice if the paddle boards were also at lighthouse instead of just at maple beach. I also enjoyed paddle board yoga last fall.

When I go past the skateboard park, it doesn't look very well kept.

The existing Community Center is an important community hub with a great deal of historical value. It is absolutely worth any investment in its continued use.

The community does NOT need a new community center or recreation center. We have too small a population to justify the multi-million dollar cost. Get back to reality.

Skatepark is an eyesore. Community Center was a mess through covid but MUCH better now, thank you. Still, the septic system needs work and please get rid of those pool tables! I haven't seen anyone use them in years! Scotch Broom at Baker field is taking over. It's a noxious weed and should have been dealt with early in the spring.

If the CC is to be used as an emergency shelter, housing large numbers of people, then it should be seismic safe.

I would rather see the community center be up to code than spend money on a big expansion or new center. Swimming pool etc could possibly be more economically provisioned by negotiating access agreement with one of the existing facilities on the Point.

I think they are being maintaned well

I would love to see more arts, theatre, live music, and dances in Point Roberts. The Arts and music festival was a huge draw, brining the commercial together and generating revenue.

I think we could have an outdoor gym at the playground.

The kayaks should be at maple beach. It’s too rough of current to kayak at lighthouse.

I wish the paddle boards were available not just as a class, but throughout the day.

The movies being screened are not interesting to us. There are too many mosquitoes. Maybe we should have a public vote on what movies we watch. Maybe mosquito traps are needed, like what Disneyland uses.

Performance space and 360 projection dome, music and talk radio station, it is more expensive to repair or alter a struction than to start from scratch, gym, performance center for special events like dinner theater, concerts, ballet, dances, farmers markets, celebrations, star gazing parties, planetarium style dome theatre for 360 media, improvements to the beaches like a boardwalk, pier for diving off

The playground at the community center needs an upgrade to better modern play equipment and more selection

The camp is a great idea and benefit in general, but the staff is woefully untrained, disorganized and constantly on cell phones rather than watching the kids. The process for registration should be online, as it is 2023 and check in and out should be monitored. My child was bullied and games that the kids played last year were very dangerous because of lack of judgment/attention of the teenagers in charge. The main supervisor, not Bennett, did not know that dangerous things were happening and also seemed to take an "I didn't see it, so it wasn't happening" approach to watching the kids and the other teen counselors.

Food and Coffee Trucks, I am strongly opposed to construction of a new community center; this is not the time to be funneling scarce resources to what is frankly envisioned as an upscale gym. Provide more low-tech, low-impact outdoor resources; there are quality gym resources just across the border for those in need of such.

1/4 mile track loop for track/jogging/power walk/sprint/ running with a soccer/football field in the middle for adult sport, while seismic bracing codes are important.. in times of earthquakes.. how many people will there be in the cc?

Never hear of the skateboard park being used, would be better if replaced with a multi court option.
Community Center needs less pool tables, would be nice to get better furniture for gatherings.
Play ground equipment needs upgrades, I’ve taken my grandkids there for years and the equipment is old.

The community needs a better center. My family lives here as well and we attend most all of the events.

The District should mostly use its limited resources to better maintain facilities and to then facilitate their use by local groups and residents rather than directly developing recreational programs. Let private groups form to start activities or put on events at the Community Center or Baker Field.

If we are to get a new community center, I would hope it would be completely up to all codes during the build. However, if we are keeping the old building for the long term, then it would be more important to fix the existing one. It really depends on what the long term plans are to whether the building should be up to code.

Bike trails should not be allowed. Quiet trails are what being in nature is about. Mt. bikes belong at ski man facilities. PR is too small for this activity.
Baker Field has too many holes. Horses allowed to ride on it ruins the surface.

Not sure when and where the kayaks are going to be out. The gear is not properly cared for.

There is so much missing from the community center. It's not open to the community often enough. There's no workout facilities. There's no entertainment. We spent a million dollars on a library we already had, while not adding anything new of any use to the community. There's no swimming pool. There's no "recreation" facilities the community wants. Just waste on pet projects.

The kayak/paddle board program is essentially unusable. The access to them is too limited. The need to coordinate with someone from there to unlock them is prohibitive. The paperwork is invasive of privacy. They are an eyesore.

The community center is in a great location. Leave it there. We need a downtown core. Putting it by the fire station is too far from the central core. The history center is a waste of space.

I have only been to skateboard park once and it looked like it would be dangerous to play there.

Food resources: for growing, cooking, processing & storing

Safety services: heat / cooling facility for public
Emergencies , communications, power , water & food.

Although a pool is a wonderful amenity with many benefits, there are substantial costs to build and operate a pool with skilled workers. I don't think it's a feasible long-term option given this community's demographic and population

Where I just moved from tried to multipurpose several tennis and basketball courts with pickleball. It resulted in the neighborhood kids being intimidated by privileged adults that didn't want to relinquish the courts. Eventually the kids stopped trying and just lost their courts. Please factor this in when thinking about multiuse. Kids aren't comfortable dealing with adults and pickleball seems to be overtaking their play areas. Don't let that happen.

Please do not put any pickleball courts near houses. I moved here full time in April but previously lived 100' from multiple courts that were open 7 days a week. It is an indescribable nuisance that wrecks havoc on your mental health. The community is suing their county, asking for an injunction to a multi million dollar project that didn't seek community input or conduct a sound study. A disaster for everyone involved. Also, please see my comments above about trying to multi-use facilities between children and adults. The power differential means the kids will lose.

The Baker Fields paths have a large number of roots that stick up & can trip people. I would like to see some wood chips or something similar put down to make them more even.
