SchedulingIt seems I remember Leann saying there was an Elementary Schedule in a training site with an example of another way to look at scheduling. Possible overlapping? Having the 4 cores scheduled to periods then the "specials" overlapping and showing the times? Is there somewhere to look at other ideas before setting up the calendars? Also if you are on ATTN and COURSES and want to switch to periods will you need to do this before rolling the students forward? We will locate the examples and try to make those available.NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025

SchedulingCan I add more periods after my calendar is setup and students are rolled forward? Yes, you can add periods to the period schedule. If you are building, section placements will be updated as the sections are built, however if you are only copying, you will need to update the section placements for each section.NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025

SchedulingI want to delete days. I have a school that has A-E and is changing to only A day. Does this need to be completed during calendar setup and before rolling students forward? During the calendar roll forward process, you will copy all the current period schedules. If you only want to continue with one period schedule, you can delete the period schedules that you do not want to include. When you copy the sections in the second part of the calendar roll forward, the sections will only have the one period schedule associated. The only concern would be that those course sections that met only in one of the other period schedules not included, would not be included. Reach out to Campus Support to setup individual office hours with an IC trainer and double check this option with them.NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025

GeneralStudents that are leaving for high school should not be checked? Rolling forward the enrollments for those moving to the next school level should be done separately so the destination calendar can be selected. This will allow you to create the future enrollment in the correct calendar.NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025

GeneralWhat are the processes for a charter about students that leave our school to another PSU? It would be nice if we could send and receive students from the PSU in our county. At this time, you will not roll their enrollments forward. At the end of the year they will receive an end date and end status. NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025

SchedulingWhen rolling forward student enrollment - how do you handle when different groups of students are going to different schools next year? For example, 1/2 8th grade students going to High School A and the other 1/2 8th grade students are going to High School BThere are multiple ways to handle this. The Enrollment Roll Forward Wizard | Infinite Campus article covers the different options in depth, but this can be accomplished through school boundaries, through multiple roll forwards with ad hoc reports to choose a group of students that will go to a particular school, or by entering data on each individual student's enrollment. Please discuss with your IC Scheduling team the best options for you.NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025

SchedulingDo the terms, schedules, and periods fields need to be completed at the course master level or at the course information at the school level? They can be completed at either. If the fields are consistent across all schools that use the course code, doing it at the course master level and pushing to multiple calendars will be the quickest way to update this data. If the fields are different at different schools, you would want to do it at the course information screen at the school level.NCSIS Phase 1 Scheduling Webinar, January 29th, 2025
