Describe one social/ethical concern related to the IT system.Describe the relationship of one primary stakeholder to the IT system.Describe, step by step, how the IT system works.Explain the relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern described in Criterion A.Evaluate the impact of the social/ethical issues on the relevant stakeholdersEvaluate one solution that addresses at least one problem identified in Criterion C.
2
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is surveillance. It is the use of IT to monitor the actions of people .The relationship of one primary stakeholder to the IT system is the patients who have diabetes that measure their blood sugar a number of times a day to ensure that it stays within safe levels .1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff .
The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is that the consumer , the patient who have diabetes, have to rely on being surveillance to check if their blood sugar stays in a safe levels and keeps track of their health records .The impact of the social/ethical issues on the relevant stakeholders are the risk of losing medical records or not keeping track of what they have to do in order the keep their blood sugar stable .One solution that addresses at least one problem is stated in the article , to file and monitor the actions of people electronically. Diabetics have been involved in tests with new IT technologies that experts hope will lead to an
increase in the use of online health records .

One concern is surveillance, it monitors the actions of people .A patient that has diabetes that uses the website Living With Diabetes where they upload their blood glucose levels so that medical staff can view their information .1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
With the concern being surveillance, it isn't sure if the information being uploaded to the website will be properly saved or viewed by the right people in this case being the nurses or doctors. The patient isn't sure if what they are uploading to the website will save their information properly or would be deleted. The computer may have a glitch and can switch your information with another patient who saved their results on the website too.Who ever is in charge of viewing the patients results can send an email addressing them that their information has been saved.
4
One social concern related to the IT system is Reliability. How reliable is the online blood glucose recording system? Will it glitch and erase all the data of the patient whom is the stakeholder. Reliability is an important concern because it affects the Health of the diabetic patient and they must keep record of their blood glucose and if they don't they will lose track of it and potentially go into a coma. The relationship of the diabetic patient to the IT system is that the patients are a key role to maintaining their condition and with the online blood glucose recording system the patients are able to upload it online so that their doctor are able look at that information and also watch for any changes that can affect the patients health. The IT system works as follows
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff

one social/ethical concern related to IT can be "Privacy and Anonymity" , now right off the bat we know that privacy is and can be related to anonymity, and we know what they mean , but yet some of us are uncertain on how to apply in today's digital world.A primary stakeholder of the concept relying Privacy and Anonymity can be how privacy is the ability of an individuals and groups to determine for themselves when and dhow they're sheared information is publicized in other sites or pages without ones consent and which can totally discriminate ones rights.first and for most the IT system works around the areas of knowledge in a social more comprehensive term dealing with various ideas of social and ethical issues that hurt or damage our world day by day and that also deals with it in an also more technological stand point. As i mentioned earlier the IT system surrounds various areas of knowledge from the collection of information, to the overall organization storage to the communication of information that has been passed around for decades and decades. A broad general perspective regarding technological issues and going more in depth with the idea on how complementary networks work regarding the information system.the relationship between the IT system and my social/ethical concern are that they really so round on the areas of technology and how technology is only getting better and better as time goes in which can hinder or hurt our life in terms of privacy for example pictures or any other personal data or information,
which will make us as consumers more concerned on our rights and our personal information being looked at by,millions of people from around the wold which can cause us concern and insecurities.

One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is integrity. Integrity refers to safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of stored data. The primary stakeholder, LivingWithDiabetes, is the the company who created the website that made it possible for diabetic patients to store their blood glucose data information.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The data being collected and stored in this website/program can lack INTEGRITY when it has been accidentally tampered with.On one hand, LivingWithDiabetes can be a useful resource for storing patients' blood glucose data. On the other hand, being a website (technology), there is a chance of the data getting lost. Another impact may include the software of the diabetic patient's computer going out of date, making this resource incompatible for those users. Lastly, another possible impact is the lack of the diabetic patient's internet connection, making the data captured in the meter irretrievable to the computer in which stores the data. For the diabetic patients with the lack of internet connection, making the data captured in the meter irretrievable to the computer in which stores the data, a solution to this problem could include saving the the patient's data onto a removable disk then contact their doctor and address to them that you inconveniently had an internet connection problem.

Surveillance is one social/ethical concern related to this IT system. It is the use of IT to monitor the actions of people. One primary stakeholder are the people who have diabetes. These people need to record their blood levels and upload it onto a website made by the company "LivingWithDiabetes"."The process works as follows:
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff."
The social/ethical concern is surveillance. The IT system is the website that the company, "LivingWithDiabetes". The relationship between the two is to monitor the diabetic patients' blood levels online through the website that is used to upload the patient's information on.One of the issues of the relevant stakeholders was that they were only about to access the information of the blood levels and monitor how the diabetic patients are on a monthly basis. Before a solution was created, the relevant stakeholders were not able to efficiently view the blood levels until a certain time because the information of the blood levels were given to the medical staffs and then later passed onto the doctors. However, now that diabetic patients can upload the information onto a website, the relevant stakeholders would be able to effectively view how the blood levels are online. This will allow the nurses to manage 200 patients with diabetes, and teach newly diabetic people how to take care of their health. I believe that the method of uploading the data on the website would help the relevant stakeholders a lot.The solution is in the passage. Rather than having the patients give the information of their blood levels to the medical staff and wait a month to access the results, along with the doctor, the patients were to upload the information on a website. This allowed the relevant stakeholders to access the results and monitor the patients online.
8
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is the reliability and integrity of the website on the patient's data information. Reliability refers to the accuracy of the data with the real world and integrity refers to safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of stored data. One primary stakeholder is the diabetic patient who uploaded the data of their blood glucose levels to the website. The reason being is if the information was entered into the system wrong or the data never updated whenever the patient's upload their information then it would affect them and caused confusions when the doctors checked for their glucose levels. The way this IT system works is first the diabetic patient must measure their blood glucose level with the meter, the results are uploaded by the patient on his/her computer and it sends to the LivingWithDiabetes website, then the data will be reviewed by medical staff and doctors.
The relationship between the IT system and the concern of its reliability and integrity is that when the results was uploaded by the patients on the website, data that were uploading could be processed during an error and the results would be different from what was recorded. Also, the integrity of the data on this website could be lacking when it has been accidentally changed or the website runs to an error in its system and never update the patient's information. The impact of the reliability and integrity of this website on the diabetic patient is very big because the website hold the data of the patient from day to day and even years worth of data. If the data was accidentally changed or was put in wrong then when the doctors viewed the patient's data, it would caused many major problems. For example, if the patient's blood glucose data over the month has been perfect and they are doing what they're supposed to do, but on the website made an error and the data shows that their blood glucose levels increased and decreased drastically over the month. This could result in the doctor prescribing the patient with higher dose of medicines for the patient because of their unbalanced blood glucose levels even though the patient is perfectly fine. One solution that can help solve the problem of reliability and integrity of this website is that the company LivingWithDiabetes should do weekly maintenance on their website to check for any bugs or glitches that may have occurred within the website and from there they could prevent these errors from happening that are processing the wrong data on to the website. This could result in a more reliable and integrity data base when the patient upload their data on LivingWithDiabetes.
9
One of the issues with this it system will be the invasion of the patients privacy. Uploading your personal health issues for example when you will upload your blood glucose results many people will be able to see your results and they will be free from being observed by anyone. One primary stakeholder will obviously be an patient. why because they will be concerned on the fact that there health issues are put out there for the whole world to see. they will find no interest in seeing there private information being read by others than their doctors.First you're blood is taken so your glucose levels could be measured by a meter. Then once the results are taken they are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer. once that is done you're results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website. At last you're results are uploaded to the public and also viewed by different medical staffs.Once the results are taking i believe there should only be kept a paper record other than uploading them on a website. Its a invasion of the patients privacy and also he will never know who saws his results or how many people it has been read by. The patient will also have trust issues based on putting his personal information out there and not knowing if it would be read by someone he does not want it to be read by.Once the relevant stakeholder also known as diabetic information is on put on the website he will considerably be seen as a target. As his personal information is put out there others will be allowed to take that information to use it against him. His personal privacy would be in invaded and he will not be able to do anything about it since once your information is put out there on the internet and in public there is no possible way to retrieve it back or remove it off the internet it will always remain on the internet.A solution to the problem will be if the results are transfer through a drive other than via email or uploading it on to a website. Only way from your information or privacy not to be invaded you will have to keep your results away from the internet or public, just keeping it private to yourself or the doctor which will be reviewing.
10
One ethical/social concern related to the IT system is reliability. Reliability refers to the operation of hardware and accuracy of data. One primary stakeholder are the diabetics who rely on the new IT technology to measure the glucose blood levels.Diabetics first, must take a blood test as usual, then they must upload and store the results onto their computer's hard drive, then these results are sent into the system and placed on the LivingWithDiabetes website, and finally viewed by a medical staff. This new system could have the issue of reliability because of the technology used. If you are a diabetic you must make upload your results onto your computer and send it to the website. The website could crash and lose a diabetics blood test results before the medical staff could examine it.The reliability of the new technology is in question because of how new it is. It hasn't had enough time for us to determine how accurate it really is at measuring glucose levels or how stable the website is. If the website crashes there is a good chance that all of the glucose levels recorded on the website could be erased forever. Also, the reliability of the diabetic's computer could come into question. There is a chance, a small chance, that the blood test that they upload to their computer could become corrupted and unable to be sent to the website. However, one could argue that the old way isn't much better. Before the new technology was created, diabetics had to keep track of their own glucose levels and show a doctor/nurse who will then pass that information to another doctor. A diabetics glucose levels could get lost in the shuffle and with this new system the diabetics simply have to upload it onto the website and a doctor could easily access it from there. In order to solve the problem identified in criterion C, the producers of the product must make sure that the website is absolutely reliable and have a very low chance of crashing or being hacked. This could be done by using a high quality server and high level security measures.
11
One social concern related to the It system is the Diabetics that have been involved in tests with new IT technologies that experts hope will lead to an
increase in the use of online health records.
The primary stakeholder is the patients who have diabetes (diabetics) must measure their blood sugar (blood glucose) a number of
times a day to ensure that it stays within safe levels.
"Patients who have diabetes (diabetics) must measure their blood sugar (blood glucose) a number of
times a day to ensure that it stays within safe levels. If their blood glucose level is too high, they may
become unconscious and fall into a coma. Diabetics are expected to record their results daily so that
they can monitor their own blood glucose levels. These results are accessible to patients and also
reviewed by their doctors at the local hospital on a monthly basis."
The patients who have diabetes because if unconscious the patients who have diabetes and are having the blood measure their blood sugar may fall into a coma if they get unconscious. And the data might not be accurate.
When the blood is being taken from the patient the social/ethical issue start because the stakeholder are the patients who have diabetes and when they give the data of their blood sugar it might not come out accurate. One solution that addresses at least one problem in Criterion is make sure when you measure the blood sugar from multiple patients you do it carefully
12
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is People and machines. People and machines is how the use of IT systems brings significant advantages, for instances in ease of use, being available 24/7, or through its use rather than exposing humans to a potentially hazardous environment. It also raises concerns about how technology is taking over. One primary stakeholder are the patients who have diabetes (diabetics) and they must measure their blood sugar (blood glucose) a number of
times a day to ensure that it stays within safe levels. The patients will now have a blood glucose meter that can be used to measure levels of blood glucose and their information can be uploaded to a computer.
1. Blood is taken by patient and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff and doctors.
The relationship between the IT system and People and machines described in Criterion A is how technology is expanding and being used as a 24/7 thing. Just like how in the IT system, doctors/nurses will be able to access the patient's glucose levels at all times because it will be uploaded and sent to LivingWithDiabetes website. It will lead to a increase in use of online health records. The patients with diabetes (stakeholders) are impacted because they will not have to their record their own glucose levels in a notebook. Nor will they have to visit their local hospital monthly to show their doctor their glucose levels that were recorded. The patients will have their own glucose meters which will record their levels and upload it to their computer, where it can then be sent online to LivingWithDiabetes. Their doctors can just review their glucose levels from the website. However, the disadvantage is that the patients will not have much contact with their doctors anymore. Since they don't have to visit their doctors monthly, it will mean lack of knowledge for them. They won't be able to consult verbally with their doctors through the website, unlike if they actually went to the doctor's office.Even with the glucose meters, doctors should still have meetings with their patients from time to time so that they will be able to verbally and clearing explain to patients how their health is.
13
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is security. Reliability refers to the operation of hardware, the design of software, the accuracy of data or the correspondence of data wit the real world. The reliability of machines, software and data determines our confidence in their value.A primary stakeholder is a nurse that takes care of the diabetic patients, and manages their information online.1. Everyday, blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
5. Nurses help condition the patients who have the most extreme glucose levels.
6. Doctors prescribe medication for patients who still have extreme amounts of glucose levels, even after conditioning with the nurse.
The relationship between the IT system and reliability, is that if a bug were to crash the LivingWithDiabetes website inaccessible, patients would no longer be able to upload and record their daily glucose levels. Furthermore, nurses and doctors will no longer be able to help patients because they don't have the patients' glucose levels. Lastly, since a nurse is assigned around 200 patients, if a bug crashes the IT system, it will be almost impossible to help that many patients. If a new bug were to be introduced and crash the IT system, making it unreliable, the nurses assigned to patients will no longer be able to help them and manage their condition. Furthermore, the nurse cannot possibly handle 200 patients alone, there's lack of communication between the nurse and patient due to the website crashing. Since patients can no longer upload their glucose levels, the nurse or patient must physically meet in order to go over their conditions. Another impact could be the competency of the nurse. If it's only one person handling over 200 people's information, there will eventually be errors in a patient's glucose levels, making it unreliable. In addition, a patient could be entering wrong glucose levels because they're unsure of how to use the IT system, misleading the nurse that is attempting to improve their condition; but in actuality, is worsening it.A major problem listed in Criterion C is where one nurse is responsible for over two hundred patients. I believe that one person cannot handle over two hundred patients, regardless of how reliable and efficient the IT system is. Patients should be better taken care of, their lives are literally on the line. Therefore, to fix this situation, have more than one nurse manage over two hundred people. This will increase activity time between the nurses and patients. Also, this will allow the patients' individual conditioning with nurses to happen more often. Although there's multiple nurses now, I believe that there's still going to be issues with the reliability of the patient's information. Multiple nurses may solve the issue of conditioning patients on time, but it may still lead to unreliable data because of the sheer number of patients.
14
One social concern related to the It system is the Diabetics that have been involved in tests with new IT technologies that experts hope will lead to an
increase in the use of online health records.
The primary stakeholder is the patients who have diabetes (diabetics) must measure their blood sugar (blood glucose) a number of
times a day to ensure that it stays within safe levels.
"Patients who have diabetes (diabetics) must measure their blood sugar (blood glucose) a number of

become unconscious and fall into a coma. Diabetics are expected to record their results daily so that
they can monitor their own blood glucose levels. These results are accessible to patients and also

One solution that addresses at least one problem in Criterion is experts should measure the blood sugar of the patients.
15
Reliability and integrity is one social/ethical concern related to this system, reliability refers to operation of hardware, the design of software, the accuracy of data or the correspondence of data with the real world. Data may be unreliable if it has been entered incorrectly or if it becomes outdated. The reliability of machines, software and data determines our confidence in their value. Integrity refers to safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of stored data. Data lacks integrity when it has been changed accidentally or tampered with. Examples of data losing integrity are where information is duplicated in a relational database and only one copy is updated or where data entries have been maliciously altered. One primary stakeholder is the health department, they are responsible for our well being. They shouldn't simply rely on the media for the updates, instead it should be manually written.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
That is how the IT system works. ;)
The relationship between the two is that the IT system is where we would upload the diabetic information and we can only question its reliability and integrity. The stakeholder, which in this case is the health department, will lost trust from the community if something bad were to occur. Not only that but the patients would be at a lost, if they were hacked to say they were in good health, but in reality they're not, that could cause issues. Therefore the social/ethical issue will have a big impact on the stakeholder. One solution to the problem is to just continue writing the diabetic data manually how they usually did before the new system occurred. That will easily solve all the problems that the system could have. No one could hack the writing and at most someone could change it but in most cases, that isn't going to happen.
16
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is integrity. Integrity refers to safeguarding the accuracy and completness of stored data. One primary stakeholder is the consumer of the LivingWithDiabetes website. The consumer may use someone else's blood glucose level.1. Blood is taken from the patient's finger with a glucose monitor to at the glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded from a memory card in the glucose monitor on the patient's computer.
3) Results are uploaded to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4) Results are viewed by medical staff through the LivingWithDiabetes website.
The glucose level that the consumer has uploaded to the LivingWithDiabetes website can be tampered with by the consumer. The information does not have integrity because the information can be changed by the consumer. When blood is taken from the patient's finger, the patient may use another person's finger. The blood glucose level has been tampered with. On the other hand, if patients uses the website to keep tract of their blood glucose level, then they care about their health and want to keep tract. However, the patient may want to lie in order to get out of going to the doctors if their glucose levels are low.One solution is to take the patient's blood at the hospital, so that the patient cannot tamper with their blood glucose level.
17
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is reliability. Reliability refers to the accuracy of the data in a software and it's correspondence to the real issue. One primary stakeholder to the IT system would be the company who developed the website, since they have medical staff that can help with viewing information from patients.Glucose levels are measured, results are uploaded on patient's computer, then results are sent to the website and viewed by medical staff members. The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is that if the information doesn't add up, it'll cause problems for the people who require accurate knowledge. In this case, diabetics will need correct information to stay within their safe levels.
18
One social/ethical concern would be the issue of privacy since the patients information would be uploadedsomeone who is diagnosed with diabetes1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The meter calculates the results
3.The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
4. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
5. Results are viewed by medical staff.
Privacy is an issue since the patients results are being uploaded to the internet where people have access to the information besides the doctor. The patients results are uploaded in the computer where many people could possibly see their information besides the doctor since they have no control on who might access the results.Only share your private information with your personal doctor to make sure that your information is only seen by them.
19
privacy, which is the privacy of the individuals and groups for themselves.a person who is diagnosed with diabetes- a diabetic.it starts with the patient getting blood drawn and measured by the meter, it is then stored on their computer. The results are sent to Living with Diabetes website, then the results are viewed by doctors. The way privacy is a concern is because since it is on their computer and a website they are not in control of who sees their information, and they may not want others besides their doctor to look at it.the patients may not want others to look at their information, which is something private. It is on their computer and on a website so they are not in control of who views it or not.Don't post it on a website, only share it with their personal doctor or who they choose.
20
One social/ethical concern would be security. Security is keeping information is a safe location, so nobody can access that information. The primary stakeholder are the patients who have diabetes. Their information of being diabetic are given to professional doctors to keep in a secured location, so they may research.1. The patient who has diabetes measure their blood sugar levels by taking blood out of their system with a needle or meter
2. The results of their blood sugar levels are uploaded and stored onto the patient’s computer.
3. The results are sent to the "LivingWithDiabetes" website. A website for patients who have diabetes
4. The results are viewed by medical staff, or in most cases their personal doctor.
5. The doctors analyze their results of blood sugar levels, and transfer their information as chart
6. After doctors analyze their results, they schedule an appointment to converse about the patients health
Security relates to the patient's health because it involves the information of the patients. The patients go in the process to send out their information, expecting it to be secured. The doctors receive the patient's information, the doctors view their information, so that the doctors can give the patients advice to adjust their health problem. the doctors needs some acquirement of security for their patients' information. The reason why security impacts the patients with diabetes, because the patients are giving their information of being diabetics to professional doctors. If the doctors aren't able to secure their information and they have it all piled around, so it becomes a problem if the doctors give the wrong advice about their diabetes to the wrong patient. Also, if they can't keep their patients' information, which is their blood samples, the doctors can create huge mistakes with their blood, if they have no whereabouts of who it's from. The solution for keeping the patients who have diabetes' information safe and organized for the doctors, is to create an online website. The patients that have online access can send their diabetic information on a website to their personal doctor, and the doctors can keep their patients' information safe and organized.
21
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is diabetes. The primary stakeholder is the person with diabetes and the data.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
That is how the IT system works! :D
The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern described in criteria A is that both takes care and records data on diabetes !RaN oUT oF TiMEIdK
22
the blood glucose recording system of before wasn't as convenient for both the patient and the nurse. the patient had to manually record his/her results and then the nurse would have to look into each patient individually , taking more time than necessary.a stakeholder in this situation is obviously the patient himself/herself. it is his/her blood glucose recordings that are being recorded into the meter and uploaded to the living with diabetes website for medical staff to analyze and observe.Blood is drawn into the meter to measure glucose levels. the results are then uploaded and stored on the patients computer to then be sent to the livingwithdiabetes website. once uploaded medical staff are allowed to access the data to review it.the new online glucose recording system is much more convenient. it records the results and makes them accessible by medical staff without the patient having to record anything manually or having to go in for an appointment.as soon as a patient tests his/her glucose level, the results are immediately uploaded and accessible the medical staff.now that the glucose recording system isn't manual, patients cant lie about their results.
23
One social/ethical concern related to this IT system is Reliability and Integrity. Reliability refers to the accuracy of the data. Integrity refers to the safety of the data, as in to make sure the data hasn't been tampered with or accidentally changed. One primary stake holder could be the nurses in charge of managing the data of the diabetic patients. The process of the IT System starts with the blood from the patients being taken in and the glucose level is then measured. Then, those results are then saved and stored in the patients computer. That information is sent to LivingWithDiabetes website. On there, the nurses can then look at the data. They can then communicate with the patient online through the website, either by typing or face to face from a webcam. When the blood is being taken in from the patient, the social/ethical concern begins. The data that they transfer on LivingWithDiabetes may not be accurate data. The data can be entered incorrectly, the data that they enter can also be outdated, it can be days old information. Integrity also plays a huge concern. The data can possibly be accidentally changed or even tampered with. The data might not be updated regularly, or something, such as a blackout or a virus can affect the computer and possibly remove all the data. The nurses that are in charge of this data are also affected greatly. Everyday, at least 200 patients will send in their data, and then that data will have to be viewed by only 1 nurse. They will have to closely examine that data, then they will have to talk with the patients, one on one, and help them manage their condition. This is a lot of work to be put on one person. How will they balance their jobs with the diabetic patients and other patients? Not to mention all of the paperwork that will have to be done. One solution to this is to have multiple nurses in charge of managing the patients. They can then easily manage less patients and have more time to do other work. It would also be easier to have the diabetic patients go to the doctor for evaluating their problem rather than the nurses. Doctors are more experienced and will better solve their problems rather than nurses.
24
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is reliability, which is the accuracy of the data because the information that the diabetics input into to the computer may or may not be reliable. One primary stakeholder can be the people who are diabetic as well as the ones that put their information into the computer because they will be the ones that are affected when their information get hijacked or be false.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff
okThe stakeholder is the diabetic people who should have reliability in putting their information onto the computer without any harm. However, the
25
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is reliability due to the fact that the blood glucose meter can be inaccurate and send wrong information to the computer. One primary stakeholder would be people with diabetes because they are users of the blood glucose meter.First, blood is received and the meter measures the glucose level. Second, the results are sent to the computer, by either tethering the meter to a computer with a cable or wireless with an account from the website. Third, the results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website. Fourth, the results are examined by medical staff. The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is that if the meter gives off the wrong information, it could be a life or death situation. From 100-240 milligrams, it is considered safe levels. However, if a patient uses the meter and it says that they're within the safe levels but in reality they're dangerously far from it, they won't realize it and can possibly die.
26
A concern after reading this article could be surveillance. It's the use of IT to monitor the actions of people, whether it's used to track, record, an assess employees' performance. One primary stakeholder can be a diabetic who is in need of their doctor to see their results. To begin, blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter. Next, the results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer. Once they're uploaded, the results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website and viewed by their medical staff. This is a quicker process for both people, the patients and medical staff to get in hold with each other if their are any issues. The relationship between them is that they'd use this process to be able to track the patients measure of their blood sugar. Surveillance is an option for easy access within both people. It could as well possibly be a motivation
27
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is the digital divide and equality of access. They want to require the diabetics to record their results daily so that they can monitor their own blood glucose levels on a IT technology. Although this may lead to groups or individuals without access to IT being disadvantage. Not all of the diabetics can afford or have money to have the type of technologies they need to record and uploading the information online. The people in charge of the LivingWithDiabetes website expects all the patient to keep track and upload them for them to have access to the information. But that can't happen if not everybody have access to the internet.xStep by step, how the IT system works:
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The results that the patient had recorded are send off to the LivingWithDiabetes and that's where the doctors start checking and making sure the patient is doing good. This will workout if both have access to the internet and a computer. People may not have that and be able to upload and send the result for the medical people to see.The stakeholder, which is the person who looks over the patient's result on the website livingwithdiabetes can always make a mistake looking over the results. With that they can give an false opinion on whether the person is getting better or worse. This is a serious issue because it involves somebody's live and their health.Livingwithdiabetes holds important records that will probably require top doctors to look over them more than once.

One social/ ethical concern i found in this article is people and machines which is exposing humans to a potentially hazardous environment. In this article the primary stake holder would be the patience that is sending their glucose levels to the LiveWithDiabetes website.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is that if the data that the patience uploads onto the site somehow becomes flawed, then it could possible harm the patience because that patience life relies on the results of their glucose levels. The issue of people and machines could have a impact on the patience because if somehow the data that they upload becomes flawed, then their life can be a risked because they were relying on the results to be accurate. One solution to address this problem is the patience could use multiple methods of checking their glucose levels instead of solely relying on the website, which can cause them to have more accurate results.
29
Many diabetic patients were not able to always communicate rapidly with their doctors after checking their blood glucose. The doctor/information holder who is given the information of the patientA patient can save record of their blood glucose on an electronic document and send/share it with their regular doctor. The social concern being patients cannot rapidly talk to their doctors after checking their blood glucose can be solved by sending an electronic message to their doctor, sharing/asking the information that can concern them. The stakeholder has a hold of a patients information and can possibly control what information the doctor sees. The patient could address the doctor by sending the electronic message directly to them instead.
30
One social/ethical concern is reliability and integrity since the company LivingWithDiabetes keeps data connected to the real world. The relationship of the company LivingWithDiabetes to the IT system is that they use technology to add data. They store their data into their own system so that nurses and doctors can view it.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The relationship between the IT system and the concern of reliability and integrity is that there is a chance that the data may get entered in incorrectly. Another issue is that if the machine is not working, the data cannot be collected and therefore the patients will not be able to know their blood sugar. The impact of the reliability and integrity on LivingWithDiabetes is quite serious. If LivingWithDiabetes give out wrong information to a patient, it may cause their life. Relying on the company helps the patients with diabetes keep their blood sugar at a good amount. One solution that can help the problem is by not relying on only technology. Instead of having the data/results on a machine, have a print out of the results as well. There are many times where the system can crash or become hacked. But if you have the actually print-outs even when it's hacked, you still know what blood sugar you actually have. Although, with paper print-outs, it is harder to keep. Print-outs are more reliable since there are people who don't have phones or don't know how to use them. It will be easier to access through paper print outs.
31
One social ethical concern related to the IT system is security. The primary stakeholder in this case is a company titled "livingwithdiabetes". The relationship between the primary stakeholder to the IT system is, the stakeholder "livingwithdiabetes" has developed a website that makes it possible for patients to upload their blood glucose levels so their medical information can be accessed by doctors easier.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The relationship between the IT system and security is that, security protects the patients information which is stored within the IT system's website. The impact of security on "livingwithdiabetes" is that if there a chance that the patients online medical information can be hacked and accessed, that will create major problems for the stakeholder considering a patients medical information is not being protected enough to prevent hacking. One solution which will limit hacking and ensure good protection of the patients online medical information will be creating a form of privacy by limiting the amount of people that have access to the medical information.
32
One social or ethical concern that is related to the IT system is reliability and integrity because there's a data that shows the blood glucose for the patients. The relationship of one primary stakeholder to the IT system is intellectual property, I chose this because it has many collection. For instance, ideas, discoveries, writings, works of art, software, collections, and presentation of data. How the IT system works is you turn it on, go to the place where you need to go, and start working. The relationship between the IT system and the social or ethical concern describe in Criterion A is it both has to involve with each other. The impact of the social or ethical issues on the relevant stakeholders is its problem, the problem is caused of diabetes. One solution that addresses at least one problem identified in Criterion C is to not let the patients blood glucose raise.
33
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is if the diabetics are having high blood glucose, they'll have to test it and help it stay inside the safe level. The primary stakeholder to the IT system is the "LivingWithDiabetes" because it's a website that doctors use to track and keep all the information for the blood glucose level/diabetics.1)blood is taken, there's a meter to measure the glucose levels.
2)Results will be saved on the patient's computer.
3)Results will be sent to the stakeholder "LivingWithDiabetes".
4)The medical staff views the data.
The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is that when there's a glucose level that is high, it concerns the doctors and you'll have to test it and send it to the stakeholder's website. The impact of the social/ethical issues on the relevant stakeholders is that they had to slowly do steps like wait on the patients to give the results to the doctors so they can test it out.One solution they had was having a stakeholder who had a website. Having the website, they were able to get data easier and faster.
34
Reliability and integrity: They may incorrectly enter the wrong data or you don't see it then becomes outdated which makes it useless. Then someone could have tampered with it and give the receiver the wrong advice.Patients: They are uploading their data of their monthly diabetes routine then the It system incorrectly enter info or their info is tampered with leading to misunderstandings.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The information in the it system could be tampered with or wrongly entered.they will getting the wrong data or tampered data that is giving them the wrong advice. They can go to the medical staff in person and receive the legit info
35
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is reliability, the design of the software would accurately help record the online health records.A patient with diabetes, who has to measure their blood sugar. They would be able to keep track of this information and their doctor could easily review their data. The process works as follows:
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
The IT system is responsible for keeping track of the patients and its suppose to be easier since the nurse to patient ration is much larger, it would be one nurse per every 200 patience meaning there could be more patience being looked after. The impact of reliability on the relevant stakeholder is although all the patient data will now be digital and easy access, there still maybe technical issues to where the data may get lost, or private information maybe much easier to access, if a patience relative may have question of the patience health. Although it can be more reliable to store everything digitally and much quicker there still some issues which could damage the patience personal information.A solution to possibly loosing data, would be to store this information in various software which would serve as backups if information was ever lost. Such as flash drives or hardware which would store the information that could possibly get lost.
36
The digital divide and equality of access has to do with not all individuals having access to technology.a primary stakeholder is the patient with diabetes. By allowing patients to have the opportunity of logging their glucose levels online and being able to
receive rapid feedback from medical professionals on how to manage their
disease is very beneficial.
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff
this is a concern however, because what would the patients that don't have access to a computer do.patients without access to a computer would be unable to have their levels monitored in a way that's quicker and more efficient. So these patients would be excluded from receiving fair/equal treatment, there has to be some kind of way that the doctors in charge of this can accommodate the patients who have no access to a computer.doctors can arrange an on site computer at their facility so the people that have no access to a computer at home can use the computer at their facility so they aren't left out.
37
One social/ethical concern related to the IT system is reliability and integrity since the reliability refers to the operation of the hardware, design of the software, the accuracy of the data or correspondence of the data to the real world while integrity refers to the safeguarding of the accuracy and completeness of data being stored.A primary stakeholder that can be identified is the person that uses the website of the LivingWithDiabetes company to track their blood glucose levels. They trust the glucose meter to accurately measure their glucose levels when they use it and they trust the company to analyze the results carefully.1. Blood is drawn from the finger using a needle or other sharp object
2. The blood is then collected onto a strip
3. The strip is then inserted into a blood glucose meter
4. The meter gives a result according to what it has detected
5. The results can be uploaded to the website of the LivingWithDiabetes company
6. The results are analyzed by the medical professionals there
The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is that when following the steps needed to measure blood glucose levels, the glucose meter or the medical staff that receive the data may be inaccurate during analysis.Any inaccuracy in the data may result in the reduced health of the stakeholder, which would be on the fault of the stakeholder for misuse or the company for the inaccuracy during analysis. On the website of LivingWithDiabetes, it states that they believe their system of analysis will be better than the manual system because patients manage their condition on their own. This may be an issue if the patient is having technical difficulties while using the blood glucose such as they don't know how to use it or the software within the meter isn't functioning as well as it should, which could result in less accurate results.A solution that can be made for this issue is if blood glucose levels were analyzed by a medical professional at the very first step (blood drawn from the finger) when either at the hospital or any other establishment that offers medical guidance or attention. The blood glucose levels would be measured and analyzed professionally, which would result in almost complete or fully complete accuracy. However, this would result in levels not being measured as often as they would while using a blood glucose meter at home since the patient might not be able to have their blood analyzed daily. Suggestions that might help to improve the current state of the issue would be to reduce the process of using the meter down to a simpler number of steps so the meter would be easier to use for those that don't comprehend the instructions (if they are included) as easily.
38
A social/ethnic concern is people and machines. The Data may not be reliable if entered into the system wrong by the patients and if the doctors send out wrong information to their patients.LivingWithDiabetes developed the website for their patients to upload their blood glucose levels to the medical staff.1. check blood glucose levels
2.put data into the patients computer
3. data is sent to the Livingwithdiabetes website
4.data is viewed by medical staff
The data entered into the patients computer can be incorrect and can send back wrong results to the patients.Livingwithdiabetes introduced a new way through technology by making a website allowing patients to get their blood glucose viewed by the medical staff fasterDouble checking the data before the patients send or what the medical staff sends back.

One social/Ethical concern related to the IT system is reliability.Reliability refers to the operation of hardware.one primary stakeholder that is related to the IT system is the people that have diabetes.
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.

One social/ethical concern is the reliability and integrity of the company(LivingWithDiabetes). For the LivingWithDiabetes company the IT system is the use of technology to add data. They take the information and store it away so the doctors and nurses can use.Step 1)Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured.
Step 2)The results are then recorded, uploaded, and then stored on the patients computer.
Step 3)After being uploaded the results are sent to LivingWithDiabetes
Step 4)Medical staff reviews the results
The relationship between the two is that if the information is inputted, it could be the wrong information. Also the machine could be broken and they will not be able to input their information. The impact between the two are quite serious. If LivingWithDiabetes has the wrong information and gives it out, it may cause harm to the patients life. With the company it helps oneself keep track of their blood sugar.A solution to this problem could not be relying on the technology. Instead of inputting it through the machine and just keeping it there have a print out of the results. If you have it printed out and something happens to the machine, you still have your information with you.
41
The article relates to reliability and integrity. They are able to safely check and record their sugar levels and they can upload their results to a data base in which their doctors are also able to check and keep track of for their patient. The primary stakeholder in this situation is the person who is affected by diabetes.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by meter.
2.The results are uploaded and stored in the patient"s computer.
3.The results are sent to the Living With Diabetes website.
4. The results are viewed by medical staff.
The database may not be as reliable to those who don't have a computer. Or they might have one but their computer could lose all its information that stores their blood sugar levels before they can submit it to their doctor. This could impact the communication between the doctor and it's patient. They could lose all data that may have the answer to something that could be going wrong with the patient.
42
Surveillance is a social issue because Surveillance is the use of IT to monitor the actions of people. One primary stake holder is the Diabetic using the Living With Diabetes website. Posting there blood sugar levels are always being under surveillance1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff
The patient data is always been watched. Some issues are the data can corrupt. The website can break down. The stake holder himself can change there sugar levels to trick the doctor watching the data.Even though the Patient is tricking the doctor. The patient is putting himself at risk of not getting more or less insulin.
43
Reliability and Integrity is one concern related to the IT system because of the company's website. Reliability is the accuracy of the data and whether the data entered in it accurate or not. Integrity is when the data has been accidentally changed or tampered with.An example of a stakeholder is LivingWithDiabetes,1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
LivingWithDiabetes must input accurate information otherwise, it may hurt the patient(s).
44
One social or ethical concern related to the IT system is the App known as "Messenger". "Messenger" is an app that is granted access to a phone's camera which means it may turn on and record at any moment which poses a risk to Privacy and Anonymity.A relationship of one primary stakeholder of the IT system would be PSN, PlayStationNetwork, because it is required through PSN for certain games to be played. An example would be Call Of Duty Online.1. 🅱🅻🅾🅾🅳 🅸🆂 🆃🅰🅺🅴🅽 🅰🅽🅳 🅶🅻🆄🅲🅾🆂🅴 🅻🅴🆅🅴🅻🆂 🅰🆁🅴 🅼🅴🅰🆂🆄🆁🅴🅳 🅱🆈 🆃🅷🅴 🅼🅴🆃🅴🆁.
2. 🆃🅷🅴 🆁🅴🆂🆄🅻🆃🆂 🅰🆁🅴 🆄🅿🅻🅾🅰🅳🅴🅳 🅰🅽🅳 🆂🆃🅾🆁🅴🅳 🅾🅽 🆃🅷🅴 🅿🅰🆃🅸🅴🅽🆃’🆂 🅲🅾🅼🅿🆄🆃🅴🆁.
3. 🆁🅴🆂🆄🅻🆃🆂 🅰🆁🅴 🆂🅴🅽🆃 🆃🅾 🆃🅷🅴 🅻🅸🆅🅸🅽🅶🆆🅸🆃🅷🅳🅸🅰🅱🅴🆃🅴🆂 🆆🅴🅱🆂🅸🆃🅴.
4. 🆁🅴🆂🆄🅻🆃🆂 🅰🆁🅴 🆅🅸🅴🆆🅴🅳 🅱🆈 🅼🅴🅳🅸🅲🅰🅻 🆂🆃🅰🅵🅵.
Doctors believe that this new online blood glucose recording system will be significantly better than the previous manual system because patients play a key role in managing their own condition. Previously doctors relied on patients providing information about their blood glucose levels to the medical staff and the information would then be passed on to the doctors. Now doctors can immediately access this information online.
Therefore, a (っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Hacker ♥ will be able to easily access the data base.
This online blood glucose recording system would only require one nurse to manage 200 diabetic patients. It would allow nurses to spend more time with patients when they are first diagnosed, teaching them how to manage their condition.

The impact of the social or ethical issue on the relevant stakeholders would be that it would be easier to manage a vast majority of patients. However, it would also result in a threat to the Patients' privacy due to the fact that their information is leaked and can be accessed easily by hackers who temper with the database of the patients.
Doctors believe this is an ideal solution for themselves, other medical staff and diabetic patients.

The one social/ethical concern is health which from the article, it states that if a diabetic have their blood glucose to high, they may become unconscious.Diabetics must measure their blood sugar in within safety levels.1)Blood is taken and the blood is measured by meters
2)upload and stored on the computer
3)sent to LivingWithDiabetes website
4)viewed by medical staff
The relationship between the IT system and the social/ethical concern is when diabetics have a high glucose,it concern the doctors because its their responsibility to try to fix their health problems. The impact of the social/ethical issues is when patients giving out their blood glucose levels to medical staff and then send the information about their blood glucose levels to doctors. The solution is when doctors spend more time with their patients that have diabetes and teaching them how to manage their conditions.
46
A social/ethical concern is reliability and integrity because data is being taken and sometimes it may not be reliable.A stakeholder will be a person with diabetes. You geta blood checker then you forget then theirs a problemthe data may not be reliableThe impact is that some people may be forgetful and forget to check their blood.
47
The social/ethical concern related to the IT system is the digital divide and equality of access, which is the growth of the use of IT systems has led to disparities in the use of, and access to, information technologies. This may lead to groups or individuals without access to IT being disadvantaged.the primary stakeholder is the patient who has diabetes.1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff.
the relation ship is that the it system is requiring specific technologies for the patient to be able to use the website.Patients are faced with social/ethical issue of the digital divide and equality of access when having to use a website such as the LivingWithDiabetes website because in order to access the website, patients must have certain technologies, such as a computer and internet. A patient must consider the benefits and non beneficial factors of using this website. For example, using a website to interact with the medical staff is more convenient however, they must spend money on the technologies if they do not already have the necessary technology.
48
A social concern related to the IT system is "People and machines." The use of IT systems brings significant advantages. In other words, it is easier to use and is a quicker method than actively going out to perform whatever action you desire. However, the idea of using a new IT system brings up issues that could occur during a test of the equipment. One primary stakeholder to the use of blood glucose meters is the company called 'LivingWithDiabetes.' As consumers of the blood glucose meter use it to measure their blood, the information is uploaded and transferred online to the company's, 'LivingWithDiabetes,' website, for medical staffs to view the consumer's information. The process works as follows:
1. Blood is taken and glucose levels are measured by the meter.
2. The results are uploaded and stored on the patient’s computer.
3. Results are sent to the LivingWithDiabetes website.
4. Results are viewed by medical staff
New technology raises doubt within people.
The impact of the social concern, "peoples and machine," on the stakeholder, 'LivingWithDiabetes,' is that the incorporation of new technology into the collection of accurate health data produces concern and possible issues within the consumers of the blood glucose meter product. The method of using a blood glucose meter is easy and convenient to use, especially when a consumer is at home. The use of 'LivingWithDiabetes' website also allows one nurse to deal with 200 online diabetic patients, giving nurses more time with each patient to inform them about how to manage their condition. Although checking the conditions of patients online is faster, the nurses don't know if the information given to them IS the patient.
A solution is to just do a regular 1-on-1 meeting with people diagnosed of diabetes.
