The purpose of this senate bill is to correct grammatical mistakes found throughout Chapter X, fix inconsistencies found with the prior addition of the position of Senate Internship Director, along with removing the Highlander Newspaper as a participating member in the reporting of ASUCR Senate Meetings as they are their own independent organization.

Chapter 34 - ASUCR Executive Fellowship Program

The purpose of this senate bill is to update the bylaws for the First Year Fellow Program to ensure the participants have the most opportunities for achievement. These updates refine the responsibilities of both fellows and their mentors with a special focus on required assignments and accountability. These below changes allow for a more structured program.

Advocates for ASUCR to work alongside student health services to promote health literacy initiatives such as when to go to the Emergency Room vs Urgent Care, what services are free, etc via social media, the newsletter, and including pamphlets/physical resources in the office.

Dietary Inclusivity and Sustainability Act

This resolution calls on the campus to ensure that all events include clearly labeled vegetarian and/or vegan food options in order to be more inclusive of diverse dietary needs. It also recommends that when meat-focused establishments cater campus events, vegetarian and vegan options should also be emphasized. ASUCR would work with campus partners to create resources to help student organizations implement more inclusive food policies at their events.

Chapter 57 Bylaw Amendment

This bill serves to amend Section 2. and remove the 1st line as the First-Time College Student Director is elected during General Elections. Removing the 1st line of section 2 would better represent the election process for the First-Time College Student Director.
