Albuquerque Police Chief Cecily Barker said officers responded to a call involving a man reportedly experiencing suicidal thoughts. When officers arrived, they heard yelling from a home on Eighth Street. Police negotiated the safe exit of family members from the residence, but the man remained inside. APD said the man eventually came outside to speak with officers. Less-lethal force was used but was ineffective, and the man ran back inside. Shortly after, a round was fired from inside the residence, striking an officer's vehicle. Two officers sustained minor injuries from shattered glass and were treated by medical personnel. At some point, the man exited the home again, this time with a firearm, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

911 began receiving calls about an armed man causing disturbances at several businesses near Kansas Highway 96 and Greenwich, including Topgolf and Bass Pro Shops. Callers reported he was pointing a firearm at employees and vehicles. Police located the man in the Wilson Estates neighborhood near 21st Street and Rock Road. The neighborhood, along with Bradley Fair, was placed under a shelter‑in‑place order. The man led officers on a foot chase. During the pursuit, an officer attempted to deploy a Taser but was unsuccessful. The man then fired once toward officers. No one was injured, and officers backed away. The WPD and Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office joint SWAT team responded, along with crisis negotiators, a helicopter, and drones. Officers eventually found the man barricaded in a tree line near a residential area. Around 7:30 p.m., an armored tactical vehicle was used to deliver a communication device to the man. According to the KBI, preliminary information indicates the man pointed his firearm at officers positioned on the vehicle’s platform. A Wichita police officer fired, striking him. The man returned fire, and the same officer fired multiple additional rounds.

According to Clearwater police Chief Eric Gandy, a woman who was home alone reported that an unknown man entered her home with a knife. Gandy said the suspect entered the garage through a partially open door and assaulted the victim. The 62-year-old victim fought off the attacker, escaped, and ran to a neighbor’s house, where she called 911. Pinellas County deputies responded and saw the garage door closed, leading them to believe the suspect was still inside. Deputies announced their presence and demanded that anyone inside surrender, to which there was no response. They eventually breached a sliding glass door and sent a drone inside the home “to further attempt to mitigate the situation.” There was again no response, Gandy said. Deputies then made their way inside the home and moved through the laundry room towards the garage. As they opened the garage door, the person allegedly brandished a flashlight in one hand and a firearm in the other. “He raised the firearm, shouted some expletives at the deputies, they opened fire, and he was pronounced deceased about 15 minutes later,” Chief Gandy said.

Police received calls about a man swinging a pipe near Locust Street and North Broadway. Minutes later, a bike officer located the man at Broadway and Olive Street. Before the officer could get off their bike, McCoy said the man threw a cup of coffee on the officer and ran north on Broadway. Additional law enforcement encountered the man at Broadway and Lucas Avenue. McCoy said officers issued multiple commands for the man to drop the pipe, but he refused. Officers deployed a stun gun but it had no effect on the man, McCoy said. The man ran off again, with officers giving chase and yelling for him to drop the pipe. At one point, the man turned and ran toward an officer with the pipe raised. McCoy said the officer fired a shot at the suspect, who tried to hide behind a car.

During a press conference, Alexandria Police Chief Tarrick McGuire said officers were dispatched to the apartment after receiving a report that a woman had been shot. There, police encountered family members inside the apartment and removed them from the apartment. Police said officers then noticed that the person had barricaded himself in a room with the victim. McGuire said officers gave several commands, but the man refused to comply. Eventually, the man exited the room and allegedly began running down the hall, “charging” at officers. That’s when two Alexandria officers fired their weapons, striking the man, McGuire detailed.

Paul Desmarais, 41, of Bucyrus, was killed after hours of failed negotiations at a residence in the 900 block of East Warren Street. According to Bucyrus Police Chief Jon Dorsey, officers arrived at the scene at approximately 10:21 p.m. Sunday and observed a male wearing body armor and carrying a firearm. Neighbors reported hearing gunfire between midnight and 1 a.m. A heavy police presence quickly descended on a Bucyrus neighborhood Monday as local, county and state law enforcement agencies attempted to negotiate a peaceful resolution to the situation. During the standoff, the person claimed to have explosive devices and fired multiple shots at officers. Police attempted to use less-lethal tactics, including chemical agents, but the person reportedly wore a gas mask to evade them. The standoff ended almost twelve hours later on Monday morning when an officer involved in the operation fired at Desmarais.
