|Enigma Club, run by the Maths team, has been hugely popular this term,|
with over 80 students spending Friday lunchtimes taking part in exciting
activities and listening to interactive talks.
They’ve simulated playing the national lottery over 100,000 times,
carried out large-scale secret wisdom of crowds experiments, rolled a
giant 14 million sided dice, discovered the secret to Derren Brown's
biggest lottery prediction event, drenched willing participants with
cups of water, and much more, all in one term!
There are many more fascinating subjects coming up later in the year and
it's great to see so many students engaging in these maths-based topics.
Additionally around 15 students have taken on the challenge to complete
difficult olympiad problems on a weekly basis, producing some
exceptional solutions. It is great to see so many students giving up
their lunch breaks to take part, all with such enthusiasm.
