Population data is the city proper's full time residents. Wikipedia notes that during the workweek commuters swell the population to over 1 million, and the DC metro area has a population of ~6 million. The source story says there is a $200 rebate but doesn't say what portion is Ring's. It also says that residential buildings that install multiple cameras can realize up to $500 in savings, but does not say what the funding source is.

The source story is a post on their Facebook page. Couldn't find anything on a regular website. There is no mention on the FB post of the total $ of the program. This FB post also explicity states the promotional subsidy code. Everywhere so far has required some sort of form filling or emailing and proof of residency to obtain the code.

Flier says limit of 3 products/household. Flyer says Ring's subsidy is to offer the Ring Video Doorbell and Stick Up cams, both regularly $199 for $99 and the Video Doorbell Pro, normally $249 for $75 (a $174 savings).

This is the first round for Temple City. The follow-up was January 21, 2019.

https://www.cityofmonrovia.org/Home/Components/News/News/193/785?backlist=%2Fhome
The source story only mentions Ring peripherally when it says "For this program, the following partners offered special discounts to Monrovia residents who were considering a new home security system: POST Alarm, Ring. Please note that residents are in no way obligated to purchase products from the companies listed above.” It sounds like this is all the city's money and it says explicity, that the $250 is for "the purchase of the home security product of their choice."

http://www.cityofalisoviejo.com/calendar/ring-home-security-rebate-program/
The source story says that the program is funded by both the city and Ring. It says it is a $50,000 program and that residents can save $100. Doesn't say what percentage is funded by Ring.

April 3, 2018Diamond BarCA56,784$50.00unkown
https://www.diamondbarca.gov/758/Ring-Discount-Program
The source story just says that the city and Ring are both providing $25. Open to all Diamond Bar residents on a first-come, first-served basis. It doesn't say how many subsidies are available, nor give a total $ value of the program.

https://alhambracitynews.org/2018/03/27/ring-home-security-rebate-program-for-community/
This story notes that the subsidy program is launching at the city's Emergency Preparedness Fair, which will place Ring, in the minds of attendees, as a "best practice" or "gold standard" for emergency preparedness and public safety.

https://www.latimes.com/socal/la-canada-valley-sun/news/tn-vsl-me-ring-rebate-20180712-story.html
The story says that the subsidy is $50/household with a match from Ring, so $100/household. It also says the city committed $25,000 for the program over the 3 phases (Phase 1 was $5,000 for 100 units, Phase 2 was $7,500 for 150 units and Phase 3 was $12,500 for 250 units and there are still 200 left). But this math works out if the subsidy per product is $50, not $100.

The city announcement links to a Ring provided flier targeted to Arcaia, but identical to the one for South Gate: https://www.arcadiaca.gov/home/showdocument?id=18193. Arcadia also mentions the $30 off two additional products per household and 20% off of accessories.

The source story names an earlier subsidy program from 2017. This story says that the $100 subsidy in this round is for residents who didn't partake of the 2017 round, but that all residents, even those who got discounts in 2017, are eligible to get $30 off additional products up to 2/household and 20% off accessories. The source story also says that interested residents must fill out an online form and submit. it says that Ring is administering the program and that they will then evaluate the forms and decide whose households are eligible. The form is a Google doc created by Ring, per a note at the bottom, and basically just collects name, address, email, phone and asks what products they're interested in and how they heard about the program. The doc is here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfqDfe_w0WPiJKp3A7UbcxIkefQeuAsp8UBX6QFricjnARXqQ/viewform

https://patch.com/california/lakeforest-ca/ring-discount-announced-lake-forest-residents
There is a city council agenda: http://files.constantcontact.com/0a3628ed001/52468008-7af8-4810-883c-09b5de38d2c6.pdf. It gets into detail about the city's camera subsidy program and makes clear that they reached out "to a number of security camera companies to determine their interest in providing rebates" and the city said Ring was the only company they spoke with that was interested in participating and providig a subsidy match. Ring told the city they would match up to $50/customer. Source also says that in most cases, Ring's max subsidy match was $50, which leads me to believe that's probably the amount they paid in most places. They also discuss the options for eligibility of a rebate being purchase of any video cameras or of just Ring.

http://www.gohammond.com/mayor-mcdermott-announces-reduced-cost-home-security-program-event/
The source story gives the listed numbers $125 for a total $37,500 program, but just says that the funds are provided by the city and Ring, doesn't give a break down. It's not clear what Ring is on the hook for, but per their promotional PDF, they'd be on the hook for $50/household or $25,000. Running the math if you take out Ring's $50 works out to $75 X 500 = $37,500.
