Trailing 22-16 at the end of 3 quarters, the Warriors went on a 20 to 4 run in the 4th Quarter to pull out a huge win and seal the Tournament Championship. The Warriors were led by Blake “The Lake” Laske’s 13 points and outstanding defensive play. Armani “The Snowman” Snow scored 8 with 7 rebounds and 4 steals, and Jackson “Buckets” Beckett came up clutch by hitting all 4 of his free throws in the 4th Quarter and scoring 7 points for the game. Jack “Attack the Rack Like Shaq” Polark scored 4 with 6 boards, and Caleb “I’m Made Of” Adams played outstanding defense and hit a big 3 pointer in the 1st quarter to get the Warriors going. The Warriors finished their season with a record of 15 wins and 6 losses, taking 1st place in the Conference Regular Season as well. Great season Warriors!

The Warriors led by 3 going into the 4th Quarter before pulling away with a 19-7 4th Quarter. The Warriors were led by Armani “The Snowman” Snow, who scored 17 to go with 7 rebounds. Jackson “Buckets” Beckett scored 10, hitting 2 huge 3 pointers in the 2nd half, and also playing outstanding defense with 4 steals. Ben “Again” Krotky had a great game with 6 points and a team-high 9 rebounds along with 3 steals, and Blake “The Lake” Laske added 5 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. The Warriors take on Park in the Tournament Championship game today at 5:15 at Prairie Crossing.

Jackson “Buckets” Beckett hit his daily 1st Quarter 3 pointer and scored 5 points to go with 3 assists. Ben Krotky and Jack “Attack like Shaq” Polark both scored 4, and Nehemiah “All You Need Is” Love splashed down a soaking-wet 3. Blake “The Lake” Laske added a bucket to go with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. The Warriors play their final regular season game before their conference tournament today at neighboring Gavin.

The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team traveled to far away North Prairie last Thursday evening and came away with a solid 30-15 victory, improving their 1st Place Conference Record to 7 and 0. Jack “Attack” Polark played incredible inside defense, forcing a bunch of turnovers, and also scored 4 points in being awarded “Cookie of the Game” honors. Armani “The Snowman” Snow scored 11 to lead the team in points, and Caleb Adams drank his chug jugs, helping him hit a pair of 3 pointers and play tough defense. Jackson “Buckets” Beckett scored 5 and played solid defense in the win. The Warriors will play their final home game of the season next week on Tuesday, December 4 against cross-town rivals Stanton. Be there to cheer on the Warriors.Attention all Dungeons & Dragons club members - we will have our first meeting today after school in the library until 4:30pm! Armani “the Snowman” Snow also scored 8, had a couple of blocked shots, and burst out laughing while shooting a free throw. Jackson “Buckets” Beckett scored 7 1st Quarter points to get the team rolling, Ben Krotky scored a pair of smooth inside buckets, and Blake “the Lake” Laske added 4 with an incredible, athletic reverse layup. The Warriors play again on Thursday, November 29 at North Prairie.

The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team played in the Emmons Invitational Tournament this weekend and took 3rd place out of 10 teams. The Warriors were led by Blake "the Lake" Laske, who was selected as the Warriors’ All-Tournament player. Over the course of the tournament, Blake scored 33 points and played outstanding defense. Armani “the Snowman” Snow scored 37 points and grabbed 34 boards during the 5 games, including 15 in the Warriors’ loss to Johnsburg. Jack “Attack” Polark scored 24 to go with 24 rebounds and played great inside defense. The 3rd Place trophy is on display in Mr. Jesmer’s room for those who would like to bask in its presence.

Leading the team with 16 points and 8 rebounds was Armani “Let It” Snow, who scored the first 12 points of the game and earned “Cookie of the Game” honors. Blake Laske added 8 points, including a long 3, and Caleb Adams dished out 3 assists with a couple of steals. Quincy “The Flash” Carlson scored a bucket to go with 3 assists, and was very very fast, and Jackson “Buckets” Beckett splashed in a soaking wet 3. The Warriors hope to continue their winning ways on Thursday, November 15 as they travel to Alden Hebron.

Members of the FOR Club will be meeting in the library during their EPIC today. You MUST check in with your teacher first. Remember, school responsibilities come first! The BHMS Speech Team competed at the IESA speech contest on Saturday, November 3rd at Troy Middle School in Plainfield, Illinois. Participants competed in Duet Acting, Solo Acting, Small Group Acting and Team Improv. The BHMS participants consisted of Sam Lopatowski, Natalie Yoho, Quincy & Braeden Carlson, Sammie Cruz, Lizzie Gvozdev and Savannah & Desiree Dickson. The whole team received “Division 1 rankings” across the board for their perspective events. In addition, Sammie Cruz’ solo event and The Small Group Acting team of Lizzie Gvozdev, Sammie Cruz and Savannah & Desiree Dickson received the IESA Judges Choice Award for their performances. This win advanced them to the finals against Park School. Although Park made them work hard, the girls came away victorious with scores of 25-19 and 25-23. Top scoring servers were Kyla McCarte, Skyler Johnson, and Jaelen Cournoyer. Great passes to the setters were seen from Adele Scoggin, Kendall Levy, and Khushi Viramgami. Superior setting was seen from all setters, the backbone of our team - Sydney Palladino, Kyla McCarte, Josie Torrey, and Desiree Brown. Great spiking was seen from Ava Petrik and Skyler Johnson. Super saves from Delaney Blancett and Adele Scoggin really kept our team winning. With this last match, the girls not only took first place in the regular conference season, but also 1st place in the Lakes Region Tournament. The girls played with a lot of heart all season - we are very proud of you ladies!

Drum roll, please. The library estimation jar winner is 6th grader Maggie McManus, with a guestimation of 65! She can come claim her Diary of a Wimpy Kid prize in the library. The library has some brand new stations including this month's Ghost-imation jar, open to all staff and students.Congratulations to the soccer team on a hard fought game to end the season on Friday. It was definitely a cold and windy game that the players battled through. The team dug deep and gave it their all to win the Championship game against Park in double overtime. Sebastian Gonzalez blasted one in with around two and a half minutes left in overtime to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. With Julian Goyes making game saving stops in the net, the team worked together to protect their lead and got to celebrate their victory of becoming the 2018 Lakes Region Conference Tournament Champions and bringing home the 1st place trophy. Congratulations again to the soccer team on a fun-filled, hard working, successful season!
