| Copycat_Revolver | 1 | This video is excellent. Great lip sync, fun concept, good attention to lyrics, etc. I honestly can't fault much here. My only gripes would come with the unneccessary long intro sequences that aren't really needed. And the integration of the text in the middel of the vid could be better. I personally think it would look awesome to roto the text behind the character with good shadowing rather than blur and opacity. But that is really it. This video is fun, well made, and quite enjoyable! | This video is fantastic. The lip sync is great, the pace and general atmosphere fits very well. Just overall really great. The biggest complaint that I have is that is the "intermission" text and such should have been roto'd behind the character and less blurred. That would've kicked ass. But yeah, that's really it. Excellent job with only a minor complaint that could be easily corrected and enhance the video. | Very clean editing throughout, and the lip sync is spot on. Definitely enjoyed all the internal sync as well. The only thing that I would say stuck out to me was the 'interlude' section - it would have looked a lot cooler if the text was behind the character imo. Otherwise, fun stuff, I enjoyed it. | Soild editng. Interlude section could've been better (behind him). | This video is pure fun. From the scene selection, to the lyric synch and the was things were internally synched, this video hit the nail on the head for this round.
| Shui | 2 | Super fun good time vid here. Once this vid gains steam, it is great. Good sync, attention to lyrics, and subtle effect implementation. The song really stands out as well and you did a great job matching it for the most part. Some sources didn't work for me, like School Rumble, since it wasn't beach oriented at all. Also my other gripe about the vid is that the opening and ending are rather dull and rough. The opening Haruhi scenes aren't quite on tiume and have some weird zooming shaking action. And the ending just kind of slows down out of nowhere and fizzles out. With a bit more polish on the opening/ending this video will be a standout in the fun category for this year! | SHUI'S REDEMPTION! This is probably one of my favorite videos of the round. You've got some fantastic internal sync (some of my favorites being during the 'turn round and let me see ya' bits) and the addition of custom jokes via pineapple censoring and real bottles of pineapple wine really seal the deal for me. Video slacks on pacing here and there every once and while but quickly recovers. Beyond that the ending kind of peters out but this are rather minor complaints. Seriously, this was a fantastic round for you and I will totally be keeping this video. It's easily my most viewed video this round. | Okay, I loved this. The custom effects work is great, and everything just flows together so well. The lyric sync is very funny, and the sync is pretty tight throughout. However, I think the fade out at the end is kind of a lame way to finish off such a high energy, fun video. | Great flow. Kept me entertained the entire time. | This! This video is so god damn fun. Sure some of the effects work wasn't the greatest (the coconut) but you know what? I still had a BLAST watching it. I want to drink on a beach STAT.
| RhymeticA | 3 | Very stylish. I loved the energy of the video and it always had something flashy going on, even during the non dance segments. The lip sync and text was nice and added to the variety of the video. But yeah, this video goes hard the whole way and is fun to watch over and over again. There are some strange things technically, such as some scene stopping a few frames earlt and freezing to hit the lip sync. As wells as an odd missing scene/black space at 0:55, I feel like there was something that was supposed to be there. But anyways, the flaws are minor and don't stop this video from being a great watch. Also, the end just fades out, please finish this video! I can't get the song out of my head! | Great energy and well used visual effects. This is way better than your round 1 video and it feels like you were really able to shine this time around. The lip sync was pretty tight for the most part and the text (what little there was) was very clean and fitting. Also, I don't know if you intended for it to be funny but that one girl with derp fingers from Heaven's Lost Property is one of the funniest damn things I've seen in while. Probably the biggest problem this video suffers from is it's own encoding. WMV is a great codec to upload to youtube with but when it comes to distribution and downloading it's no good. The codec causes bloated file sizes, doesn't maintain quality and causes frame blending. Beyond that, that fade out ending is lame but :< Beyond some technical issues I really enjoyed this. Strut your stuff guuuurl. | Definitely a fun, upbeat dance video! The zooms are a bit repetitive at times, but otherwise the editing is pretty slick. The video keeps up with the pace of the song really well, and the lip sync is a nice touch. The only thing that reeeally bothered me is the super quick fade out at the end...like you just ran out of time at cut things off in a hurry. Otherwise, I enjoyed this a lot! | The only problem I have with this would be the frameblending on some of the scenes and the audio fade at the end. Also I wish you would try to use some footage beyond the typical dance ops. Overall, It was fun to watch. | It has a couple of weird audio cuts, and I'm not especially sure it was fun.
| Nessephanie | 4 | Cute and intelligent take on the song. You assigned the characters to the lyrics and kept true to them. And the lyrics fit very well for School Rumble. I can't really put my finger on what a drawback of this video is, but I have an irking feeling like something is missing. Maybe because it's too short, or maybe because it needs a bit more energy? I can't say, but I was left wanting more when the video ended and that is a good sign. | This was a very creative way to approach the song and I really dug it. The bike scene at the beginning perfectly sets up the concept and tone of the rest of the video with girl chasing guy A while guy B chases after girl. Combine an adorable concept with a decent amount of "stupid" sync and you've got me smiling all the way through. Pacing feels like it's lacking a bit and the video may have benefited from a couple more higher motion scenes as opposed to single character looking at the screen ones that comprised the majority of the final climax. Just a lot of cute really. A solid "tee hee" video overall xD | This is very, very adorable. There is a clear concept/story, and it's very easy to follow. I also loved all the internal sync...so much cuteness. Sometimes the pacing feels a little slow for such a bouncy upbeat song, but the video is still very fun to watch. | Great concept and flow. Also very cute X3 | I think that this video is another great example of fun. Great scene selection and great flow combined with an upbeat song. I enjoyed it greatly.
| slimed | 5 | This video has some great heart. It's fun, but at the same time I actually connect with the characters and the correlation to the song. It's a strange culmination of fun meets sentimental, and I like it. However your audio terrible quality and has channel issues. And there were some scenes that lost me as to what you were trying to sync to, lyrics or beat? Otherwise, I liked this alot and of all the Chunibyo vids I've seen, this one gives me an idea of what's really going on behind the random crazyness. | Dude, you are like the master of making videos that barely meet the genre requirement. This is a very sentimental fun video. It's got just the right amount of heart and silly to it. There really isn't a clear storyline but the general atmosphere alone is enough to tug on the heartstrings and project a relationship that has it's quirks but still has a lot of warmth behind it. Editing is solid too. I want a longer version with audio quality that doesn't sound like it was eaten by a cat, vomited up, eaten by the dog and then shit out on the nasty patch of yellow grass in the backyard. Beyond that the lip sync is almost entirely missed because it doesn't really add anything to the video. It just kind of slips by. If you do finish it (YOU FUCKING BETTER) you might as well just take it out because it doesn't do anything for the video at this point. FINISH IT. | I like the source combo, very cute stuff. Editing is really slick for the most part, with a few timing issues here and there...but not enough to distract too much. Loved all the adorable internal sync, it definitely had me smiling. However, the lip sync seems rather pointless, and doesn't do a whole lot for the video. | Good editing and very cute. | Go Down On Me.
| ailynerie | 6 | Kudos for using rap successfully; that is a challenge in itself. The pace and lyrical attention of this video is well edited and a lot of fun. I enjoy the subtle nods to the lyrics and appreciate that you hit many lyrics in beat and context. The vid could've used a bit more over the top/standout points to keep the attention of the audience in a more dynamic way, but it works fine as it is. But just like last round, I see that logo lurking in the corner and it makes me sad. Why you gotta make me sad? :( | As I said to slimed in Round 1, competent rap is rare but greatly appreciated. You've got some excellent flow and fantastic goofy sync throughout the video. Very slick editing overall. "Where you from?! TURN AROUND!" xD Love it. Love it. You already know what I'm going to complain about. Guuuuurl, you NEED to clean up your visual quality. You're breaking my heart here! I want to love you with all my heart but you won't let me. LET ME LOVE YOU, DAMN IT. | Noooo you brought the logo back. D: Putting that aside, very nice editing in this one. The transitioning between scenes is very smooth (with the exception of the rough roto at around 0:24) and the pacing is great. Your scene selection is funny and the sync is pretty damn tight. I would have liked to see a better ending though, the fade out was disappointing. | I am sad to see the logo in the corner. Overall, it was funny. It has good lyric sync. | This video had fantastic flow, the scenes transitioned well and the video kept up with the song. I also liked the lyric synch.
| AquaSky | 7 | This one seems to differ from person to person. I personally found it fun from the get go and picked up on the "your duty is to die" vide immediately. So for me this was enjoyably cheesy and nonsensical for the most part. But to some people, I could easily see this vidoe going right over their heads, and they'll watch it like it genuinely serious (Which I guess it's funny in it's own way). So I guess this video needs to be a bit more obvious in it's humor, with maybe a few more gags. And maybe better implementation of the lip sync. The characters look to stiff and are too small on the screen at the lipsync parts. But anywho, I liked it and had fun with it, so mission accomplished. | This is some incredibly clean cut and solid editing. The pacing and timing fits the song perfectly. The "eagle" bit is so fucking homoerotic that I honestly can't help laugh every single time I see. EREN IS MIGHTY EAGLE. CACAAAAAWWWWWW When I first saw the combo, I was expecting a gut buster but the video actually takes itself pretty seriously. A bit more tongue in cheek combined with slightly more over the top scenes (screaming bitch face Armin makes everything better) could have worked to give it a bit more of a fun atmosphere as opposed to cheese-fest. Clean cut and well done but I don't think the video knew that it was supposed to be silly. Take that dude out for drinks, he needs to loosen up a bit. | Works pretty well for what it is, and I enjoyed the amusing lyric sync, when it was present. It almost feels like this video takes itself a little too seriously sometimes, and I think you could have took it a step further to make it funnier...there were too many random 3D maneuver/random action scenes that could have been replaced with something more relevant. | Feels like its too serious, but its funny. | Is this a parody of Vlad's video? It's a great video, well put together and lipsynched, but I didn't get as strong a sense of 'fun' as I did with some of the others.
| Phlashback | 8 | There was some fun lyric sync going on in this one. Definitely a fitting song/source combo. A few sequences ran too long, such as the magical girl costume section, but outside of that it was an enjoyable watch. Now I don't have any more time to talk, so this comment is over. | There are some fantastic moment of lyric sync in the video with a couple of my favorite being "No time to talk *walks off screen*", the break dance bit with "everybodys breakin'" and finally the "dancin man" part. You're developing a great sense of comedic planning. The line between funny cheese and painful cheese is a very thin one but you're really mastering it. You've got some decent internal sync here and there too. The problem with this video is that a lot of the basic sync is very predictable, especially with the pink transformation sequence part. While I know that this is primarily due to the song composition, it would have been a good idea to either have a bit of a song cut or some creative additions in it's place. A lesson that was learned during Org Editor one year is that while older music can be tons of fun to listen to, the basic composition can be overly simple which leads to semi-monotonous videos so it's up to the editor to keep them interesting. THAT SONG FADE OUT >:[ Overall a pretty strong video with some short comings. | Footage quality is lacking, at least downsizing the resolution would have made a big difference. That aside, this was highly amusing to watch. The source combo is really fun, and you had some pretty funny moments of internal sync. I think my favorite part had to be the dance scenes, they work so well. XD I wasn't a fan of the fade-out at the end though, I think you could have found a better and more effective way to end it instead of having it trail off aimlessly. | Made me laugh alot XD Lyric sync was good. Fading at the end was meh. | In the butt. I love the lyric synch in this. It's a pretty good example of just a great classic comedy video. I hated the audio fade at the end though.
| MinetChan | 9 | During the rap sequence, this video really made sense and made me chuckle because the character featured during them fit so well. However, this video suffered from overly random and forgettable editing during the song's repetitive refrains. The repetition of smiles and randomness wears thin quickly and the song becomes very grating when the video begins losing my interest. A better song cut or focused editing could alleviate the monotony of the refrain sequences, but as it is it dampens the fun that is the rap part. | Holy hell, I was not expecting to see a video with this source again anytime soon. I remember when I first started editing there was Inuyasha ERRY WHERE but it's been a missing source (beyond the intros occasionally) for quite a few years. I was really stoked to see it's return in such a lovingly crafted video. Videos with heart and care behind them are easily my favorite kind of videos and this one is no exception. You've got a solid concept some really fun subtle internal sync here and there such as with the boulder/sit command. There isn't a ton to complain about beyond some technical issues. While your roto work has improved leaps and bounds compared to your first round 1 it's still rough around the edges (quite literally in a sense). Scene selection could have used some work here and there to fit the lyrics/mood a bit more. A bit too much running around and angry face syndrome as opposed to exploring and curiosity but that can be perfected a little down the line. Little tip on lyric sync though, literal is good to a point but if you go overboard it'll get cheesy. Sometimes you need to get a little crafty. For example, "a new horizon" can be a lot more than an actual horizon. Even with it's flaws here and there, I really liked this video. | This video feels very nostalgic and that's definitely a good thing. It reminds me why I first started editing (to showcase sources that I really loved and share them with others), and I appreciate seeing AMV's like this nowadays. You've got a strong concept that stays true throughout the whole video, with the exception of scene selection that wasn't as fitting as it could be. Lip sync was a little awkward sometimes, and could have been improved, but otherwise I thought this was a pretty nice story driven video. | At first I was not getting into it, but then the amv got my attention. Pretty good story. Some of the lip sync was crap X3 | Loses points for Phil Collins. Actually this was a prett well put together inuyash video, you should be proud on making a show like that interesting again.
| Kagacie | 10 | This video has some great pace editing. I love the faster and crazy pace of the scenes and they work with the song the whole time, which is great. I'm sure you'll hear this from the other judges, but the frameblending was overwhelming at times and really hurt the high motion scenes. This makes me sad because this video relies on it's fast action for the atmosphere, so the blurring was distracting from a prime component of the vid. I also feel like there needed to be a more definitive ending. You establish that all these kids get out of school and enjoy their break, but I feel like the end is unfinished since it doesn't show the climax of their vacation and return to school. I say this because the video is really great and I want to see more. But overall great editing that needs better rendering and an ending. I loved it regardless and had alot of fun watching. | Holy hell, great job keeping up with the insane pace of the song. When songs like this really kick off more often than not the song totally leaves the source beyhind but you did a great job maintaining energy and keeping a constant progression of scene types and locations to keep the viewer interested. You kept the sources fairly balanced though so we didn't see too much of "I only used this one anime for a single scene and then totally forgot it existed" which is something I greatly appreciate. Basic technical stuff is really the biggest enemy of this video. The visual quality is alright at best with a decent amount of macroblocking/artifacting and frameblending out the butt. Scaling down on the footage resolution and encoding in a not terrible codec such as mp4 could have probably helped a decent amount. Don't forget to disable the frameblending when speeding up footage in Vegas :P Audio cuts are incredibly rough too. Technical work aside I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting to. The idea of waiting for spring/summer break to happen and everyone spending their summers doing different things originally threw me but once I caught on I really loved the showcase of different vacations styles. Nail the technical stuff and we've got a ton of potential here. | Loved the high energy in this video, and the fact that your pacing never really seems to falter. Editing is pretty tight throughout, and there is some really fun internal sync going on (which I always appreciate). My only big problem I have is completely technical, and it's the inconsistant footage quality and all that frame blending...it's very distracting. I don't think your resolution needs to be as huge as it is, especially considering the footage quality. Otherwise, this is really cute and fun video you've got here. | So much frameblending and random quality of your clips. Good pacing though. | The bad audio cuts plague what would have been a better video for me. I really liked what was happening but the jumpy audio killed the flow and editing for me. Aside from that it was pretty well done.
| sirenaim | 11 | Fun stuff. I appreciated this video the most when it was utilizing the footage that didn't rely so much on dancing. The sync is sharp and the lip sync is great. I voiced my opinion in the judging session that I wish there wasn't macross concert footage in this video, because it doesn't really fit and seems to be filler. I really would've liked to have seen more scenes from Toradora or MM! rather than random dancing/singing. But still, great job! | This video owns itself. It's confident, sexual and just quirky enough to keep you smiling. Top it off with solid editing and we've got a pretty great video. Biggest complaint is the fall back on the Macross/concert footage. When the video starts out you're more led to to believe it's a sexy female swagger video and then Cheyrl starts her concert crap. I would have loved to see a bit more sass and a little less random dancing/singing at the camera. It's got some attitude but it's lacking a certain edge. | This video is really bouncy and fun to watch. The general editing/transitioning is really smooth and the sync is really tight in the first half. My only real complaint is that I think that the footage was a little unbalanced, with too much dancing mainly (I know there is a ton more Taiga scenes in Toradora that would have worked well!). | Very fun video. Good pacing and little unbalance of sources. | You did a very good job in keeping up with the fast pace of the song. And you took the time to have an appropriate audio cut at the end!
| MentalTsui | 12 | Fun and technical idea. There was some good flow to this video and kudos for the roto work on a limited time frame. However, I feel that the text is a bit too overpowering for the footage and draws away from the appeal of the song-to-anime fun at times. There also are some missed opportunities with some of the lyrics that I wished were there (Like putting an actual "L" on Gaara's head :P). For the most part this videos is feel good eye candy that I enjoyed, just with a couple of parts that made me yearn for the all-out treatment for the lyrics. | If there was ever a derp that needed to discover fun, that derp would be Sousuke Sagara. Love the combo, solid flow and pretty great technical work, especially for such a short period of time. There still feels like a lot of missed opportunities in this video. A rather large amount of this video is actually comprised of very low action scenes or close up facial shots. And due to the fact that for whatever reason you refuse to edit 4:3, the cropped footage gives and even stronger montage of faces feel since with the scene cropped, that's all you can really see. Not cropping and relying more on Fummoffu for lively/over the top scenes probably would have helped quite a bit. Beyond that, we've already yelled at you over skype about other things such as the L on Gaara and such. :P ELIMINATED FOREVER! Not bad at all but if we set the shiny technical work aside we've only got a /decent/ video left. | Fun source combo, but I felt like there was a lot of missed opportunites for some hilarious scene selection and sync...you've got a lot of still shots of the characters where they are just like, standing there, when I know there is a ton of footage from your source that could have been utilized. The footage itself also looked a little too overfiltered. Still, I found this to be pretty fun to watch, and all the effects work/typography were a nice touch. | Decent editing. The text/motion graphic graphics didn't fit. | The text is done well except for two things, the typeface was atrocious, it often seemed like you were using it as a crutch because you couldn't think of what else to put there.
| AngelDragoon | 13 | The first thing I will mention is that this video is cleanly edited. The rap parts are especially well synced, besides some missed lyrics here and there. However, even though the editing is clean, the scenes during the main refrain that repeats over and over become white noise after the first minute. This is mainly due to the repetitive nature of the song, so since the scenes during these sequence aren't exactly notable, the begin to fade into the ether and appear as filler. To avoid this, you would either have to cut the song or there would have to be a clear gimmick and focus to the scenes instead of all random smiles and colors. But again, it's a good solid effort. It just gets stagnant in the refrains. | Tight editing. Nothing mind blowing but it works. Lip sync is good too. The rap parts are probably the best thing about the video. Kyoko as the main singer for Andy Samberg was a good choice. The little Mami sync with "That's aaawwwesooooome" is great too. Makes me giggle :3 The biggest thing that kills this video really stems from the song. (Just to be clear, I'm going to copy/paste this to the other video using the same song because it applies to both) The song itself is incredibly monotonous outside of the rap. In The Lego Movie the song is meant to be a droning, mind control device. It's not supposed to be likable and it really isn't. It's basically 8 bars repeated over and over again with no real variation outside the rap which is maybe 1/4 of the song at most. Due to the fact that the song is so monotonous, it really needs visuals that stand out and pop. If you're going to take the song seriously then it needs to be so damn over the top and fun that my eyes will explode if I look for too long. Right now it feels like the scenes are interchangeable. You can basically insert any scenes with a bit of movement in them and it'll work. Beyond that, one thing I didn't get why you chose Madoka. Any magical girl show beyond Madoka would have worked better. It's one of the only magical girl shows where they don't fight together and 90% of the time they've got an "OH SHIT, WE GONNA DIIIIIEEEE" or >:| expression on their face. If you're going to sell "awesome team" then a group that actually works together and looks like they're having a fun time might work a bit better D: So yeah, good editing and such but not as much as it needs to overcome the droning repetition that is the song. | Pretty solid editing, but the rap sections clearly outshine the rest of the video. There is way too much random stuff going on during the refrains and the sync felt a little on the loose side, so I didn't really get into the video until you brought in Kyoko doing the rap sequence. Lip sync was well done and blends in well. I really couldn't connect with the source match, due to Madoka being such a dark anime, but that's just me. | Well edited. Long story short, alot of it feels random. Due to the nature of the song, the clips just make the amv drag on. Of course, the rap was awesome~ | The audio quality is a little rough on this one. The rap section is great but the rest seems kind of random and not so fitting.
| Blaksun | 14 | Soooo...this is a video. Yup. Anywho...this video was entertaining to say the least. It was well-managed madness. What seems random on the surface makes alot of sense with the song somehow, and became quite fun to watch. I can't say its amazing, but it is definitely oddly captivating. There are some technical drawbacks with the lip sync where the footage shakes and lapses, but overall this video does it thing. What that is don't dont know, but it was fun. | I don't know why but there is something that I adore about this video. It's so broken that it's almost right. It feels like I'm peering into the brain of a child who lives in a dark room with no windows and no doors who has only had a computer with this single video on it that just plays on repeat nonstop. It's madness incarnate. No matter how much I oddly love this video, it's got some issues. For one, the aspect ratio is off (should be 16:9) and the lip sync needs major work. By repeating scenes or looping them to accomplish the lip sync we're left with jiggling and repeating backgrounds. Easily the most noticeable of the lip sync offenders being the final clip where the train car jiggles back and forth. While technically lacking this is a madness that I for some odd reason can't help but love. It's broken but it almost feels like it would be wrong to fix it. I just don't even know... | I...have no idea what I just watched? So much madness. :o I really have no frickin clue what was going on throughout this whole video, but it was very entertaining. A lot of the internal sync had me cracking up quite a bit, even though it seemed random as hell. The lip sync could use some work (try adding some movement with the characters speaking instead of having them static while their lips are moving), and the footage quality was iffy at times. | Felt too random and lost my interest fast. Quality was up and down and even had the wrong AR. | uhhhhh yup. This is my personal favourite.
| SVProductions | 15 | So first I have to mention here, I watched this video the first time without knowing the concept behind it. I am a Darker Than Black fan, but watching this video thinking that it's trying to directly reference the plot of the show did not work. I was lost and confused to say the least. Then I was able to read the video concept and re-watch the vid and it worked way better. So the video itself is well edited with an interesting premise, but without the foresight of the concept, I was completely lost. I feel like you should have included the description of the concept in the beginning of the video in some way to get the viewers thought on the right track from the get go. Overall it is fun once you grasp it, but it's not quite obvious enough and it takes a bit to much work to really get the most out of it. | Original concepts are always neato. I greatly appreciate the ambition and unique approach to the round too. What really hurts this video is that without the description to PM'd to me it's almost impossible to understand what exactly is going on in the video. This combined with a rather monotonous pace due to the primary sync being to that of the beat as opposed to the unique sounding vocals creates a type of white noise where it becomes difficult to focus on what is happening. Ambitious yes, but it's missing the touches that make in a complete video without required reading. | I like that you decided to do something different with your concept, but it was only after reading your description that I was able to figure out what was going on in the video. Without that description, it's a little too difficult to follow. As far as the editing itself goes, I do wish you had changed things up a bit from time to time instead of sticking to the monotonous hard cuts on the beats...a little variety in the syncing would have made things more interesting, I think. Lip sync was also a little awkward at times. | I enjoyed this alot. Well edited. Lip sync was awkward. | I'm not sure how fun this is, but I liked it well enough.
| Drango | 16 | This video had a great start. As a fan of the show I could see how well this song worked with the show. And it was good for the first part, but around the first refrain where the characters began running around and spanking each other is where you lost me. After that point the video doesn't regain it's stride fully. This is mainly because of the overuse of long intro sequences and missed lyrics here and there. It was definitely a good concept, but it needed more context and less filler footage. | This is actually a combo that really works with a source that is basically un-AMVable for the most part. Probably my favorite part of this video was the "every gesture, every move that she makes" bit. Good atmosphere going on there. The video on a whole though is incredibly loose since it primarily consists of the opening and the "stranger danger" sequence with the butt slapping and running around. There is a ton of potential here for this combo but due to massive lack of scene selection the video falls flat. So much greatness could come from this video but since not a lot beyond the first 3 episodes and the opening were used it feels empty and lacking. | Very nice source combo, and even though I haven't watched the show I can follow along with the concept easily. Lyric sync was a little hit or miss...you had a lot of fitting scenes, but a lot of random mixed in there. Better scene selection would have greatly improved this video - less random aerial shots and scenes of the characters running around. Cute video, but definitely needs more focus to keep the viewer engaged. | Great start but overtime feels like it drags. Great concept though. | Loses points for Phil Collins, gains poins for spanking. Everyone needs more ass pats.
| Janikachan | 17 | Very fitting combo that should have worked better than it did. I liked a couple parts here and there, such as the "draw" lyric with the actual drawing. And the overall feel was fun. But I feel like there wasn't enough attention and ideas implemented to really make the concept shine. As a fan of Trigun, I knew that there were more fitting scenes in places that used footage that didn't seem to match the lyrics or beat. It was a good effort, but needed more care in the scene selection. | Yeeeeeeeeees. Wild Wild West. YEEEEEEES. This is a combo that could be the best thing ever. Such a great combo and it just so happens that this judge is a mega Will Smith Pre-Terrible Children fan. Sadly, the video falls short. The pacing is too slow, concept is lacking and there really isn't a lot of action going on in the "wild wild" west. I mean, the song yells "BREAKOUT" and an old scruffy dude just chills on screen. If their idea of wild is just looking at the screen and talking at me then they probably throw some pretty lame parties D: I would adore to see this video finished but the concept and pacing need work. | I think these sources could really work well with each other, but there were a lot of missed opportunites for some really fun lyric sync. There were a few fun jokes in there (0:57 was amusing), but I would have liked to see a lot more. Editing was okay, but the pacing felt a little slow. Overall, I thought this was pretty fun to watch, but it didn't feel like it reached it's full potential. | Some of scenes didnt really fit, but it feels like you went back to tweak this, it could be an amazing video. | Artimis Clyde Frog, going to save polly prissy pants from a giant spider. I like what you did with the lip synch and I like the overall feel of the video you have created.
| alchemymini | 18 | During the rap sequence, this video really made sense and made me chuckle because the character featured during them fit so well. | This looks like a super cute anime. I previously had no interest in it but I might actually check it out now so thanks :3 Very lighthearted, solid combo. The biggest thing that kills this video really stems from the song. Beyond that, song fade out = no D: Cute combo but it suffers from the song and being totally random. | I like the fun/light hearted vibe you have going with this video, and I really enjoyed the rap sequence - the lyric sync here was really fun and entertaining. However, the refrains get to be a little dull, especially when you get to the second one and it's basically the same stuff we've seen in the first. The song is a little monotonous on it's own, so you need some more interesting sync/editing or scene selection going on here to hold the viewers interest. | Feels like it drags out after a while. The rap part was cool ^^ Editing was good in most parts | FADE OUT! The flow in this video is pretty rough and the scenes don't seem like there was alot of thought put behind them.
| chaosgod357 | 19 | This video definitely works for what it attempts; a compitent fun/dance video. Some of the sync is really nice. But the variety of the footage really works against you. This video relies a bit too heavily on Yoko Box and a 3d idol dance. Since these are already music video footage, re-editing them into an AMV seems a bit lax. They do fit, but they begin to drag on after a short while. | It certainly is an upbeat dance video. There are some nice moments of lyric sync here and there too. This video is just really shallow feeling. I feel like I watched a maximum of 8 minutes of footage consisting of a couple openings, Yoko Box, and some random dancing idol chick. The random dancing drags way too long and there is little to no variety in this video. It's upbeat but just very lazy feeling. Better luck next time. | To be honest, this seems reeeeally lazily put together. Way too much intro footage, and not enough interesting editing. It's fun to watch for like the first 30 seconds, until you realize that it's almost same footage you keep seeing over and over again. The dancing girl works well with the song, but her sequences drag on too long. With more of a variety of footage (and less intro stuff), I think this could be greatly improved and be a fun dance video. | The first 10 seconds I was like "Oh shit, bring the heat!", but then lots of openings followed afterwards. After the first 10 seconds, the editing feels lazy. | This did have good flow, and I did like the lyric synch, but you only used like 4 pieces of footage, it seemed a bit lazy.
| Snowflakes1515 | 20 | Another fun idea. The overall idea and characters work well, and when the sync hits, it hits well. But there are some missed beats that stick out. Some of the lip sync is very broad and difficult to tell if it is lip sync at all. Also, it doesn't have an ending >.< | This source and this song were made to be together. All Star is widely known as the wannabe's anthem and considering Chuunibyou is about nothing but loveable wannabes I can't help but smile at the basic thought of the two together. A great combo, yes. But even a great combo can be taken down quite a few notches by lack of concept. Random fits the idea and concept but this is a bit too random which characters running, jumping and just kind of doing things with no rhyme or reason. The video doesn't need a story per say, but setups are required to really drive home the feeling of "awww, look at these adorable losers." For example, slapstick comedy where a guy falls flat on his face is really only funny because it's got two moments of extreme. The first extreme is extremely normal, every day, with a man simply walking along. Then a chance of fate happens and he eats it hardcore causing an extreme on the other end of the spectrum. If all we ever see is one type of extreme (in this case, the fall on your face eat gravel type) it loses it's well, extreme-ness. It's a different type of dynamic to say the least. Every joke has a setup and a punchline but when you only sit there spouting out punchlines you look like a raving lunatic. The same happens in AMVs. They loose the identity of the lovable losers and just become losers who aren't really endearing at all. You tried to get your game on and go play but you brought a football to the baseball game. It's ok though, I still like you <3 | When I saw what your sources were, I got really excited...but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the video itself. This song is perfect for this show, but I felt like you didn't really take advantage of the footage you had to work with. There were a few cute moments of internal sync, but overall the scene selection was pretty random and didn't pack the punch that the song demonstrates. Lip sync and timing were also a bit sloppy. I would love to see some more work done on this video - it's a cute idea, but doesn't quite reach it's potential. | Feels random most of the time. I know you could've found better scenes to do some lyric sync. | Alot of this video seemed pretty forced, Especially the lyric synch at the beginning, but I liked it overall it was fun and flowed nicely.
| hamstar138 | 21 | A good concept that I would've liked to have seen taken all the way. Some of the lip sync looked good, whereas other parts were quite off or had juggling bodies since the movement in the frames differed. This idea really screamed for better integration. Like actually putting the pokemon references/gameplay into the actual scenes and screens. But you overlayed them instead which didn't really do it for me. A good effort, but it left me wondering what the video would look like with more time. | To be quite honest, we discussed just about everything that needed to be done with this video over skype D: You've basically heard it all and since you plan on finishing the video + sending me betas, it would be kind of overkill to list everything again >_> I swear this isn't a cop out :P Work on it some more, send me a beta and we'll talk. | This is a really fun and cute idea, but it has its issues. Technically, the footage quality is really inconsistant throughout, and the lip sync timing is off. I like the idea of using the pokemon footage, but it could be integrated in more interesting ways besides using overlays. I hope you work on this some more, because I would like to see what you can do with it with more time. | Quality is random between animes. I like the concept, but the lipsync is terrible. Pokemon game footage couldv'e been used in a better way. | I really like how the game footage was included. It added a neat touch to the video and it's premise. I found the anime section to not keep up with the pacing of the song however.
| NotReallyHere | 22 | The video sources were well chosen and fitting. When the lyrics and footage were on the same wavelength, the video was a fun watch. But they song and footage became out of sync too often to hold interest for too long. A bit more attention to lyrics and beat would greatly improve the lasting appeal of this vid. So all together it is fun, but not as sharp as it could be. | You have no idea how much I wanted to see a Space Jam video. I've wanted to see one since Round 1 so thank you :3 This is a combo that can work really well. This is a source that seems to have a ton of attitude and just enough flash to embody that Space Jam spirit. The only problem is the basic sync is almost nonexistent. It is so loose with no real concept beyond basket ball + song from basket ball movie = AMV? In addition to lacking sync, we've got logos and orphan frames. Some slick internal sync and a good rivalry type video would make this girl holla. Sadly, while you've got the concept down the editing is ultimately lacking. Sorry NRH but I'm sending you to Moron Mountain to slave away for the rest of your life. </3 | The first thing I noticed when I opened this this video was the logo in the upper right hand corner. :( Anyway, the source combo here could have reeeeeeally worked well, but unfortunately your scene selection fell short. There were some opportunities for some really awesome sync, but editing was pretty flat for the most part. Lots of potential here, I would love to see this re-edited with some tighter syncing. | Ths video has potential. It needs better sync and it could be a good amv. and logo T^T | Bonus points for space jam! Minus points for Lack of Air Bud. The video was compatantly put together, but the cuts seemed rather jarring at times. A better sense of flow could have been achieved had things been cut at different times.
| Anon is Omniscient | 23 | I see what you did there.........never do it again. | STOP LOOKING AT HER TITS. | Felt like more of an action video than a fun one, but the editing was pretty solid once it really picks up. Gotta admit, I was little creeped out by the image of Kisanzi at 0:44. >> Unfortunately, it also doesn't meet the time requirement. | Lol @ Kisansi pics. Decent editing. | It's certainly well cut, but it seems more like an action video than a fun video. I liked Nancy's cameos but past that it was straight action. Not a bad video by anymeans but not quite what I am looking for.
| Sakuraslight | 24 | Chill fun video. Not a bad watch, but it doesn't really develop or grow throughout the video which is a bit disappoimnting. Interesting video though. | This is definitely a different kind of fun. It's so chill that I kind of just want to take a nap. Not in a bad way or anything, it's just really relaxing and easy on the eyes. So points for being different. A risky move but I think it paid off in the end. Biggest complaints are really that the video really doesn't need those annoying little flashes and that overall the video doesn't really go anywhere. It's kind of in one ear and out the other due to lack of even subtle progression. Dare to be different! (Just make sure not to leave core video qualities such as progression and concept out lol) | The flashes at the beginning are unnecessary and are distracting. I like the feel-good, chill vibe you have going, but the scene selection gets stale as the video goes on. Doesn't quite feel like a "fun" video, but more on the sentimental side. I would have liked to see more of a change in the editing as the song picks up, but it just stays at the same pace, which makes it drag a little. The slide transitions could work, but the timing of some of them feels off, and the durations are inconsistant. | The flashing in the beginning wasn't needed. Decent editing. | An interesting take on fun. I appreciate you doing something different, a slow chill kind of fun. But you know what? It worked.
| CristallFairy | 25 | This video was definitely fun to watch. The show and characters look fun and the song is goofy. But I can't help to feel like there wasn't enough of a concept for the video. It seemed like alot of random chunks of episodes that weren't as carefilly choosen as they should have been. The lip sync near the end was entertaining, but in the middle there is a scene where it's just a conversation on screen for a few seconds that made me say "uuuuhhhh...what was that?". So yeah, I liked the idea and the scenes with the bunny girl, but there was too much filler footage that doesn't link together well enough to carry the whole video. | This is such a weird combo that I can't help but love it. It's so different that I can't stop myself from watching when it stops. I don't know if this is intended but I'm always really entertained by the bits where it's basically a group of characters having a normal conversation but one of them is just singing the song to them. It would have been really interesting to see an entire video structured like that but this is more of a musing than anything else :P Sadly this video seems to lack concept beyond silly anime + silly show = yes? The lip sync is really loose too. Visual quality is rather lacking too but from what I've heard it's a newer show so I assume you had a hard time finding a clean rip. Still, no excuses~! Don't worry, while I might yank you around by your adorable bunny ears I'll always reward an honest attempt with a juicy carrot <3 (That statement could be horrible if I was male :D) | This is a fun video, and it has it's entertaining moments, but I was unable to pull any sort of concept from it...the random, stupid-funny stuff is fun to watch but it wasn't enough to keep me engaged throughout the entire video. Scene selection was kind of inconsistant (I found it a bit bland and uninteresting at times), and the timing on the lip sync was a loose. There was also some pretty heavy macroblocking in your footage from time to time, which was distracting. | The editing felt extremly lazy. The end made me laugh, but doesn't justify the rest of the amv. | This synch was pretty off, It seems like you ran out of time and the end was quite abrupt.
| Ryvannis | 26 | A fun romance video with some great scene choices. I'll admit I chuckled a few times in this vid, for good reason. It's got a good vibe and is genuinely fun and happy. However, some of the scenes at the beginning give off the impression that the two characters hate each other and confused me beacuse it didn't even infer that they had any interest in one another. So maybe a bit more balance to show that they started out one way but developed, instead of loathing to love in five seconds. Also I think you forgot the lip sync :P. But otherwise a good base for a fun vid. | Awww, Dean. You really tried, didn't you? The second half is easily much stronger than the first since she doesn't look like she absolutely hates Ryuji's guts the entire time. Relies way too heavily on intro/ending sequences for footage which leads to a lack of progression. This is a great combo since through just about the entire series Taiga and Ruyji think they know what they want but are slowly led down different paths but again, due to the heavily reliance on scenes that have nothing to do with the plot whatsoever, this basic idea and concept are lost. The video seems to struggle to find a good way to keep itself paced bouncing between slower lyric based scenes and more poppy lively sections that fit with the tone of music. Beyond that you've got some visual errors with question marks overstaying their welcome and a floating mouth that hangs around a bit too long near the end of the video. This is obviously new territory for you. I wasn't trying to be condescending when I said you tried. I can see an honest attempt here but a lack of experience. You're primarily an action editor which relies on a lot of style and (for the most part) very little substance so making a video that chronicles and budding romance that turns into a full on relationship goes against everything you know style-wise. The important thing is you got your feet wet. You've got the ideas, now you just need to learn how to execute it. | Cute idea, and the video has potential...but there wasn't really enough substance in the footage for me to connect with it - there's waaay too much intro footage, and I know Toradora has plenty of cute scenes to work with, so the intro stuff really isn't needed. The slide transitions are also a little harsh and the sync is a bit sloppy. With more focus to the concept and attention to the syncing, this could be a nice sentimental/fun video. | Cute video. Sync is missed here and there. | Now it's time for technical pickyness. There is a mask that doesn't fade with a cross fade at the end. you missed the lip synch needed, but other than that it's an okay video, no major complaints.
