How is Tracking Protection different from DoNotTrack?Private Browsing w/ Tracking Protection allows you to take control of your privacy online. While Firefox has a Do Not Track feature (http://bit.ly/17ZTAor) that tells websites not to track your behavior, companies or websites are not required to honor it. What kind of tracking functions are being blocked?During Private Browsing sessions, webpage content that can be used to record user behavior across sites are blocked. This includes things like analytics trackers, social share buttons & ads.

Why does Mozilla block tracking but also use it on your own websites?We use 3rd party services to understand how we can improve our websites. As always, we tell our users we do this & offer controls so they can turn these off.
