Most Holy and Merciful God, We offer you our ‘winter’—the cold places in our hearts, the habits that have grown brittle, and the shadows we have tried to hide. As the days grow longer, may our devotion grow deeper. If we fast, let it be a fast from indifference. If we pray, let it be a prayer of listening. If we give, let it be a gift of presence. Amen.
