Heavy Duty CNC Mill, Cordless Drill, Electric Motor and Geardowns
I learned of STEAM camp from the website. I've been interested in what Open Source Ecology has been doing since I saw Marcin's TED talk in 2011.
knowledge, experience, and some new connections. To see it in person, listen and learn, and experience open source technology hands-on. Maybe start something interesting with the knowledge I take home with me... If so I'll have a better idea of exactly what on July 8.Of the possible builds, my top choice is the heavy-duty CNC mill, followed closely by the cordless drill and the electric motor. CNC milling has always struck me as possibly the most useful form of CNC. The cordless drills I use at work are sad and frustrating- I'd love to design a better, open source one. And electric motors are of course used in everything and have enormous potential. But all 5 projects seem like fantastic choices.

Metal Printer, prototype 3d concrete printing printer design.
Been pestering Marcin to run one this year :)
build a partnership with OSE, interview Marcin and Catarina, collaborate on designing and building a 3D concrete printer for printing houses, adding it to the GVCS.I hope to help OSE spread its message, and am planning on shooting (with your permission) some video and make a promo spot. Please let me know if you have any video lights at the sight and any other video gear (otherwise I'll bring my own, but ould rather bit be redundant with what I bring)

I've been tracking this project for years and could never figure out where exactly it was or how to get in touch. I was elated to find a way to come participate, just wish it would have happened sooner. I like to solve problems and fix things. I like to design and build things.
My broader expectation is meet people with similar interests and to collaborate on project. To develop relationships with people who attend the workshop that may extend beyond the workshop. I have no doubt that I will learn a lot of various technical skills in the collaborative workshop environment.
