A Step Above School of Dance LLCDanceA Step Above is a professional, local dance studio located in Moore, Oklahoma. Through age-appropriate instruction, students experience classes that nurture all around healthy development and self-expressive creativity that ignites their feeling of confidence! They will sail on seas of success in friendship, mentorship, and leadership. We offer a variety of classes in many dance genres, for ages 2-adult, in both recreational/recital classes and performing groups for those dancers who want to take it to the next level by entertaining our community, performing year round and competing at local competitions.
Our 5-7 year olds can continue in combination classes or have the option of taking jazz or hip hop on its own! Their muscular structure is still forming and working with their coordination skills to make them a more well rounded dancer, so the combo classes are a bit longer, but since they are still growing and maturing, we don't do the rigorous study of ballet or other forms on their own until age 8. Once they are 8 years and up, there are many different directions we offer that their dance studies can take them!
Our Performing Group is not your typical competition team. We do it by invitation only. Its main focus is not to win trophies, but to show a love and passion for performing dance, to build self-confidence and self-esteem by getting in front of judges and a large audience, to work on teamwork and sportsmanship and to learn from the judges' comments on what we can work on technically.
We believe you should never miss a chance to dance, so come join us today! It is a true honor to get to be your choice in dance education.

American Bicycle AssociationAthleticsFrom its early roots, BMX Racing was a family sport. Moms, dads, siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents all came out to the track to cheer-on their racer. Some volunteered to be a starter, scorer, announcer or corner marshal. Sisters and brothers started racing or became the official family photographer. Other adults coached the kids in their little group.
Fast-forward 47 years, and BMX Racing is still every-bit a family sport as in those early days.
Modern-day BMX Racing welcomes riders from four years old to well-over 60 yrs of age. Fun fact: The eldest BMX racer is Phares Parsons from Georgia, at 82. Three generations of the Parsons family frequently race together at events throughout the South.
“Riding bikes” has created some of the best childhood memories for generations. And though kids don’t ride around the neighborhood like they used to, the local BMX track is the perfect place to continue that two-wheeled tradition of fun, family and fitness.

American Okinawan Karate AcademyMartial ArtsAt A.O.K.A. (American Okinawan Karate Academy) we teach Traditional Isshinryu Karate and Self-Defense. Our goal at A.O.K.A. is to teach Self-Defense, Self-Control, Respect, Honor, Discipline, Humility, Confidence and Self-Esteem. We view Karate as more than a fighting art. To us it is a way of life. We strive to take the lessons we learn in class and apply them to our lives in an effort to find balance. As in Karate, balance is key in life.
We are all here to improve our lives. Each one of us enters the Dojo for our own personal reasons, however, while we are in the Dojo, we have a common goal. That is to help each other grow in Karate. As you grow in Karate you will notice it merging into every aspect of your life. At A.O.K.A. you earn your rank through hard work and perseverance. The curriculum is self-defense based. We focus on teaching kata (also known as forms), self-defense techniques, kumite (sparring). Students are also expected to study the karate notebooks we provide them which contains historical information and written information about our style of karate. The curriculum is quite comprehensive. Additionally, American Okinawan Karate Academy was founded by Grand Master Arnold R. Sandubrae, Ku-Dan/Hanshi, in Palm Springs, California. Hanshi Sandubrae has given permission to his Grandson, Master Aaron R. Sandubrae, Shichi-Dan/ Shihan, to open American Okinawan Karate Academy LLC d.b.a. Isshinryu Karate Sandubrae in Piedmont, Oklahoma. A.O.K.A. is Oklahoma's only Dojo that is solely dedicated to Isshinryu Karate. Sandubrae Shihan is proud to expand the Sandubrae Karate Family and further the art of Isshinryu Karate. He will strive every day to walk the path laid before him by his Sensei and Grandfather and honor the legacy of Chief Grand Master Tatsuo Shimabuku.

Art of Horsemanship LLCAthletics, Agriculture, Camps, Equestrian, Art, Design, Photography, Leadership, HealthThe mission of Art of Horsemanship LLC is to offer a solid foundation in horsemanship and fine art fundamentals for all ages. Horses have the ability to make us better people by guiding us to understand how we affect the world around us. Art offers us a way to express how we feel about the world and inspires us to learn about science, history and how to think innovatively.
Oklahoma artist, author and horsewoman, Jennifer Cocoma Hustis has spent over 20 years teaching art and horsemanship to all ages. In 2010, Jennifer combined her two passions, creating a small business located in her hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma called Art of Horsemanship LLC.
From a very early age, Jennifer felt a very close connection to horses. This connection drove her to learn from, and assist many, professional and world renowned horsemen and she has worked with countless horses. Jennifer believes that working with horses, for over 40 years, directly contributed to her successful horsemanship, animal communication and has given her greater self-awareness.
Art of Horsemanship LLC maintains a broad scope of disciplines and age groups. Jennifer’s daughter competed successfully at the National level in Jr. Rodeo (NLBRA) and at the AQHA Youth World Shows, while her clients do everything from pleasure riding to competing in English and Western disciplines. After decades of only training horses, in 2018, Jennifer and her Spanish Mustang stepped back into the show ring in Working Equitation. In 2018, they earned a ranking in the top ten from the U.S.A. Confederation of Working Equitation and in the Western Dressage World Championship Show.
Art of Horsemanship LLC has partnered with many organizations to bring quality educational programming, art, and art exhibitions to the general public including :

Askew Ballet AcademyDance, Performing ArtsAskew Ballet Academy offers ballet classes for students ages 3 and up. The focus of our school is on developmentally appropriate training in classical ballet, with emphasis on each student's health and well-being. We provide the training necessary for a professional career in dance, but also welcome students who enjoy dancing but don't have aspirations for a professional career. We believe that everyone benefits from dance training - poise, confidence, problem-solving, self-discipline are all developed through involvement in dance, as is a strong and graceful physicality. Students have opportunities to participate in performances such as year-end recital presentations and ballet such as "Peter & The Wolf," as well, as dance is a performing art.Penny Askew1900 NW ExpresswaySuite R-217Oklahoma City73118(580)-275-9277penny@askewballetacademy.comwww.askewballetacademy.comYes

Bridget TannerMusic LessonsI am a piano teacher with over fifteen years of teaching experience. I teach students of all ages, but if you have any questions about your student's readiness, please don't hesitate to reach out and we can discuss whether piano lessons are a good fit. I charge $70/month for weekly, one-on-one half-hour piano lessons. Students are required to have access to a piano in good repair or an 88-key, weighted keyboard with a foot pedal to use for practice between our weekly lessons. Lessons primarily take place in my home, but I am able to offer virtual lessons on occasion, as needed. My instruction includes reading music, musical theory, technique, performance, and more. No prior musical experience is required from students or parents, but a commitment to practicing at home is essential to a student's success on their musical journey. I offer a free, half-hour trial lesson to introduce the basics of piano and give families an opportunity to see whether or not it's a good fit before committing to lessons. Reach out via phone or email with any and all questions; I'd love toBridget Tanner3733 24th Ave SEApt 4Norman73071(507)-259-4811bee.piano@gmail.comYes

Canterbury VoicesMusic Lessons, Performing ArtsCanterbury Youth Voices (CYV) is a curricular and performance-based youth choral program, stressing artistic excellence with enhanced musical literacy through music training and performance opportunities where Oklahoma youth sing together! Children attending public, home, private, and parochial schools experience the excitement of music with friends in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our four Canterbury Youth Voices choirs for grades 2-12 meet weekly on Tuesdays.
The curriculum-based program offers performance opportunities and experiences that set the CYV program apart from other regional children’s choruses. In addition to frequent collaborations with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Canterbury Youth Voices has been selected five times as an Oklahoma Music Educators Honor Choir, and honored once as a select choir for the Southwestern American Choral Directors Association.
CYV students perform in a variety of venues with educationally appropriate repertoire that builds skill sets transferable to all areas of learning and increases a life-long love of singing.
