Equipment and items that will be needed
 2m Radio with earphone. An Earpiece is required. At most of our ARES public events where noise is expected to be high we have found that an earpiece is a must. We cannot communicate efficiently if we cannot hear what is going in a noisy environment.
 Lock your handheld radio on High Power as we normally use simplex communications and bring extra batteries as a backup.
 Bring a pad of paper and a pen or pencil to take quick traffic notes. E.g. Lost child descriptions etc.
 A hat, sunscreen etc. (Be prepared for the weather)
 Wear clean clothes that are in good repair. We are representing the Public Safety of Orem City and need to look more professional as we are dealing with the Public. The public needs to be able to trust us and appearance is very important in this regard.
 Last of all, come to have fun and enjoy the opportunity to serve our community in this capacity.
Thanks to everyone that is helping with this public service event.
