The FUCOBI Foundation of Ecuador (www.fucobi.org) has announced Travel Awards for Ecuadorian and international students to attend the ‘First International Symposium on ONE HEALTH Epigenomes and Microbiomes: From Soil to People‘, to be held at the Swissôtel, September 11-14, 2022, in Quito, Ecuador (https://bit.ly/37oo6kV).

Twenty-four ‘Johnnie Castro Montealegre Travel Awards’ and ‘Jimmy Alcívar Arteaga Research and Travel Awards’ are available for students interested in attending the symposium. Awardees must present a poster in English or Spanish and may be selected for a short oral presentation based on research quality rankings.

Interested students should send a message to Dr. Acacia Alcívar-Warren at fucobi@gmail.com including a copy of your curriculum vitae and the one-page abstract to be presented at the symposium. The awards include the cost of registration fees, meals, poster printing, and mileage or bus fare for local applicants. International students may receive airfare assistance.
